Kosciuszko plans have been flagged for Scone three-year-old Patino Ruby following her emphatic victory at Rosehill.

The filly took her record to three wins from six starts when comfortably accounting for her rivals in the Peter Kafataris Handicap (1300m) on Saturday to land a breakthrough metropolitan success.

Jack Cavanough, deputising for his trainer father Brett, said the beautifully bred daughter of More Than Ready out of Group One 2012 Thousand Guineas winner Commanding Jewel had put herself in the frame to be considered for bigger targets

"For sure, the Kosciuszko is obviously the race to pick now with a win like that, but dad will speak to the owners and go from there," Jack Cavanough said.

"She's pretty well bred so today she just had to put it on the board and she couldn't have done it better."

Brett Cavanough produced the winner of last year's Kosciuszko, exciting mare It's Me, who claimed the country feature at her first preparation.

Ridden by apprentice Louise Day, Patino Ruby ($8) scored by three lengths over Zorocat ($8) with Key ($6) in third place.

The Highway Handicap (1400m) also produced a smart winner in progressive Gayna Williams-trained mare Zoo Station ($10).

The four-year-old settled off the speed and launched late down the centre of the track in a performance that impressed winning jockey Regan Bayliss

"I know that Gayna has a bit of time for this horse and her two wins last preparation were very good, she showed she was a horse on the way up," Bayliss said.

"She has come in today still a little bit underdone so that suggests to me there is still plenty of improvement to come and I think she'll get a little bit further too."
