Grand Promenade has continued the recent domination of the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable in staying races at Flemington

At the past four meetings at headquarters, Maher and Eustace-trained horses have taken out the longer distance race on the program, all a part of the Banjo Paterson Series

Heart Of Puissance and South Pacific were successful while Grand Promenade landed his second win of the series taking out Saturday's final over 2600m.

Taken to the front by Jamie Kah, Grand Promenade, the $1.80 favourite, cruised home to a three-length win from Royal Crown ($9) with Smokin' Pierro ($11) a head away third.

Grand Promenade has had a stunning campaign which commenced in March at Mornington.

The imported stayer has finished one-two in his six runs this campaign and Lucy Yeomans, representing Maher and Eustace, said Grand Promenade was likely to stay in light work ahead of the spring.

"We tend to not fully spell our stayers," Yeomans said.

"He'll probably have a week or two in the paddock, maybe then the water-walker and then a bit of dressage work or beach work.

"He won't have a big long holiday but he loves being in work so we'll just freshen him up, keep him happy and plot a path to the spring."

Kah, who moved to 98 metropolitan wins with Saturday's win on Grand Promenade, said the stayer was a great horse to ride as he relaxes so well.

"This horse is riding with so much confidence at the moment and he's flying," Kah said.

"I think the way the races are playing out they're leaving him alone in front and he's just gaining confidence and a horse with confidence, they grow a few legs.

"I think this will take him towards the spring in good stead."
