Impressive debut winner Mynumerouno could be bound for a stakes race in Adelaide if he performs up to expectations at Sandown

Victorious at Swan Hill last month, Mynumerouno will line-up in the Ladbrokes Handicap (1000m) on Wednesday.

Trainer Nick Ryan said if the two-year-old son of Vancouver was to win, or run well, then the Listed Lightning Stakes (1050m), restricted two and three-year-olds at set-weights, at Morphettville on July 31, would be considered.

"We're going to look at the Lightning Stakes over in Adelaide or there is a 1000-metre race at The Valley on the same day," Ryan said.

"But the owners are pretty keen to go to Adelaide.

"His dam Splash Of Moet ran in the Lightning Stakes (in 2013), so they're pretty keen to go over there and have a crack at that race."

Ryan is not one to push his younger horses too early and said Mynumerouno was one that needed time.

The gelding had been in and out of work after showing he was not mentally ready until a jump-out prior to his Swan Hill victory convinced Ryan to take up the challenge.

Mynumerouno was well-supported in the 975m scamper at Swan Hill, and the placegetters from that race, Shame For Fame and Miss Cheviots, have performed solidly since.

Ryan said he went to Swan Hill confident of success and believes in the four-and-half weeks since that outing that Mynumerouno had improved.

"He's pretty handy little horse," Ryan said.

"He went super on debut at Swan Hill and I think he's improved a lot with the race experience.

"He's had a jump-out since his win and he jumped-out really sharp like he had really improved a lot.

"He's exciting and looks progressive, a professional, fool-proof two-year-old."
