The decision to give Mirra Vision an extended spell following a winless spring has continued to reap dividends for connections after she posted her third victory of the campaign at Randwick.

Mirra Vision's form tapered off after she showed early promise, prompting trainers Peter and Paul Snowden to give her extra time to mature.

That move has proven to be a masterstroke, the four-year-old bringing up a hat-trick of wins from five starts this preparation with a dominant performance in the Moet & Chandon Handicap (1400m) on Saturday.

"The biggest thing for her was after last prep, we tried to give her a really long break," Paul Snowden said.

"This time in, her form is second to none and she is going great.

"Dry tracks have got a fair bit to do with it. She's a Lonhro mare who showed good ability trudging through those winter months a couple of seasons ago and we've just given her that time to fully mature and we're starting to find the effects of that now."

Winning jockey Sam Clipperton positioned Mirra Vision ($10) one out, one back in fourth position and after beating off Madam Legend, she sprinted clear to score by two lengths over the fast-finishing New Arrangement ($5.50) with Madam Legend ($4.40 fav) another long head away.

Clipperton said he went into the race confident after Mirra Vision produced a rousing trackwork gallop earlier in the week and predicted she could raise the bar even higher.

"She's in a really rich vein of form and she hasn't run poorly this time in," Clipperton said.

"One of her main assets is when she's challenged, she just responds. I had a horse (Madam Legend) come up to me and nearly draw level and I hadn't drawn the persuader yet.

"She just responded under riding and she has gone on to win by two lengths.

"She's a mare on the up and she's certainly capable of winning better races."
