Casterton meeting moved to Coleraine

3 minute read

A broken pipe has caused the transfer of another meeting in Victoria.

For the second time in four days, Coleraine has picked up a replacement meeting.

Coleraine hosted Thursday's Warrnambool meeting while the Casterton meeting, for jumps jockeys on Sunday has required a shift.

While wet-weather was the culprit for Thursday's switch, a broken pipe beneath the Casterton track is to blame for the latest switch.

The Casterton track was inspected by Racing Victoria Stewards on Friday with the decision made to transfer the meeting out of caution so that further investigative and repair work can be performed.

All scratchings have been reinstated with trainers having until 7:30am on Sunday morning to withdraw their horse.

As a result of the repair work, RV have said that the jumps trials, scheduled for Monday, will also be transferred to Coleraine while the scheduled jump-outs at Casterton on Monday will no longer be held.
