The early quaddie belonged exclusively to Scott Brunton, producing the first five winners of the day, starting with Savs Finale who notched a hat-trick of wins in the opening race.

A half-brother to Brunton's former champion Hellova Street, Savs Finale has feasted on the higher-grade benchmark races in recent weeks and after taking out a 74-grade race on Sunday, Brunton is now looking interstate for options.

"He could possibly go over to South Australia and have a run in a couple of those no metro win races," said the winner trainer.

"He'd still get in quite handsomely at the weights and that's a good level for him," added Brunton on the eight-year-old gelding who notched his ninth win on Sunday.

The most impressive of Brunton's quintet of winners came in the second race courtesy of Kuroset who continued her rich vein of form and atoned for an unlucky second at the previous start.

Sent out the popular $1.55 elect, Erica Byrne Burke had the mare travelling worse than midfield with cover and the most impressive part of Kuroset's race was the run to the judge, recording the fastest closing sectionals of the program to beat stablemate Jeremiah ($5.50) by almost five lengths.

"Kuroset is low level flying, and she should've won last start. She's very good and seems to run her best races in Hobart," said Brunton on the five-year-old mare who's five career victories have all come in Hobart.

After winning three of her four starts this campaign, Brunton is setting some lofty goals for the mare.

"I think we have to look at a race like the Bow Mistress, I think she should come right up to the mark.

"The faster they go, the better she is going to look."

Races three to five were taken out by Brunton with horses that have been knocking on the door of a victory, Keeper's Touch ($2.40 fav), Robben Island ($9) and Rylstone ($3.50) but Brunton says that he is unlikely to head to Devonport with many of his Sunday winners.

"Maybe Rylstone will head to Devonport, but the others will go out," said the trainer referring to the programming which sees the next seven meetings run on the Devonport synthetic.

It was a busy weekend for the Brunton stable who not only had 21 starters in Hobart but also Shot of Irish ran a game third in the final race at Flemington on Saturday.

"He was terrific, and he is only going to improve.

"He is staying over there this time and in two weeks he goes to a 1500-metre race at the Valley."
