2021 CAULFIELD GUINEAS PRELUDE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Expecting Military Expert to take up the running with Lightsaber. Athelric might press across to be close at hand. LIGHTSABER (2) gets back to 1400m and that looks a big bonus for him. He was unsuited by the 1100m first up in the Vain and again over 1200m in the McNeil where he stuck on well to be beaten just a length. Looks like pressing into the first couple now and he can take some beating from there.
ALPINE EDGE (1) was second in the Magic Millions last season and his two runs in Brisbane this time around suggest he has trained right on. Good winner fresh then just missed last time with the handy winner going on to win again in fast time.
Brisbane was where we last saw CAPE BRETON (5) as well. No match in the Atkins but good enough to win his way into that race and has a big profile for this. The Godolphin pair, BRIGANTINE (3) and ATHELRIC (4), are both racing well and that can continue.
