2021 NEWCASTLE GOLD CUP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Genuine tempo with Taikomochi and Hush Writer crossing from out wide. Another feature on the card, the Group 3 Gold Cup. BERDIBEK (3) has really hit his straps winning the Listed Rowley Mile and the Listed Wyong Cup at his past two outings. Will be at his peak fitness for this and no reason why he can't continue on his winning way.

LAURE ME IN (5) is a very consistent galloper finishing in the top five at ten of his past 11 starts. Has won at this track and can play a major role in the finish. HARPO MARX (6) is in career-best form winning three of his past four outings including the Group 3 Premier Cup last time out at Kembla Grange. Drawn to get a soft run from gate four and has to be included.

CRIMINAL CODE (9) rarely runs a bad race and is one for the exotics. HUSH WRITER (7) didn't really come up last preparation but rates an each-way chance if he regains his best form.
