Duais might be the stable flagbearer but trainer Edward Cummings also has lofty ambitions for stablemate Prompt Prodigy

Placed in black-type company in the Tulloch Stakes during the autumn, Prompt Prodigy was nominated for two races at Randwick on Saturday, a benchmark assignment and the Group 2 Bill Ritchie Handicap (1400m).

Cummings' preference was always to line up in the tougher of the two.

"The reason why we put him in the Bill Ritchie is because it's ballot exempt for the Epsom should you win it, so we want to give ourselves a chance to get into a nice race like that with a very light weight," Cummings said.

"He's got to be in it to win it, he's going well and 1400 is certainly within his reach.

"The way he's been working has given us all a lot of confidence."

In-form apprentice Brock Ryan will partner Prompt Prodigy on Saturday and will be chasing his third Group win in as many weeks after claiming the Furious Stakes aboard Jamaea and landing an upset Theo Marks Stakes success on Chat

Prompt Prodigy is superbly bred and has links to Cummings' legendary grandfather Bart.

The four-year-old is by More Than Ready out of Bart Cummings' 2009 Group 1 Toorak Handicap winner Allez Wonder
