2021 SANDOWN STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Ziegfeld can find the front in the small field with Elephant bowling up on his outside. Loved the return of CHERRY TORTONI (6) who ran up to win the race, went past the highly-fancied favourite, but might have just peaked on the run and was picked off last hop. He can be fitter for that and a small field and a rolling gallop here can prove ideal.
ELEPHANT (2) will be up setting that gallop. Strong winner at his Australian debut then beaten for the first time last start but hardly disgraced. Edged out by a good horse there and must have a great shot at this. HARBOUR VIEWS (3) surprised winning fresh off a long break. Beat Cherry Tortoni there so that has to be respected. ZIEGFELD (5) may be better suited back to 1500m. Failed to finish off last time.
