2021 GILGAI STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Pace strong from Vulpine with Kemalpasa and Splintex pressing her. Thought ZOUTORI (1) was terrific first up here in the Bobbie Lewis. Had to give plenty of weight away as well as race fitness there but closed strongly to be beaten less than a length. Terrific horse here on his home deck, wont Newmarket at this point of his last campaign, and given a perfect scenario to add to that great record today.
The other one here with an outstanding Flemington record is KEMALPASA (3) who has won the Linlithgow twice at the course and distance. Similar to Zoutori, the fresh run under weight was a cracker and says he is back in top order.
AWAY GAME (6) was narrowly edged out by SPLINTEX (2) in the Bobbie Lewis here and there should be very little between the pair again. Both are clearly well suited here. KEMENTARI (4) is always one to consider. Talent is hiding in there somewhere.
