Talented sprinter Dexelation put his hand up for a trip back to Melbourne with an impressive return to winning form at Morphettville on the weekend.
It was a quinella for Richard and Chantelle Jolly, but now how punters predicted, with Dexelation overpowering short-priced stablemate All Banter to score.
Dexelation's win was the first leg of a winning double for apprentice Jacob Opperman who shared Morphettville riding honours with Jason Holder.
The stable narrowly missed a two-state double with sprint star Kemalpasa beaten into third spot in the Group 2 in the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes at Flemington.
Dalasan continued his love for Sydney racing with his fourth Group 1 placing behind Private Eye in the $1.5m Epsom at Randwick. While a win at the elite level continues to evade the South Australian, Dalasan took prizemoney beyond the $3m barrier and firmed into a $26 chance for the Cox Plate in the process.
Jake Toeroek had three winners over a busy three days of racing in South Australia which included a Port Lincoln double, Anna Jordsjo and Kayla Crowther also leaving the west coast with two winners each.
Angus Chung had a big day at Gawler, scoring on Richard and Chantelle Jolly's Rodeo, and Bubbles Mcginty for Jon O'Connor.
