Winning Trainer: Peter & Paul Snowden
On the way the race was run: "Obviously there was a lot of commotion at a vital part of the race there but thankfully everyone was able to avert that commotion and stay on their feet which is pleasing."
On the winner: "He has prepped up lovely this horse, he looked good in the skin. 1300m first up was always going to be an ask for him but Hugh rode him outstandingly."
"He is one of those horses that you have to wait for the right conditions. He is no good on soft ground. We saw what he did in the Magic Millions three-year-old last year, he just blew them away. When he can get those conditions on the day he is certainly right up there with anything that he races against."
Onto the Golden Eagle: "We are getting into uncharted territory with him as far as the distance goes but I suppose we have got to really think about it. He is in the race, qualified now, and it's certainly going to be interesting."
Winning Jockey: Hugh Bowman
On his ability: "Well we all know what he is capable of. He just needs things to go his way a little bit and then he can deliver. Today things went his way but he's a quality horse and we've seen him do it at this level and better before."
On winning the Silver Eagle: "It's a lovely race for him to win. Congratulations to Peter and the team for aiming him at this race. I was just delighted with the performance he gave me."
Beaten Jockeys:
Sam Clipperton (Exoboom): "Pulled too hard the first half and then had that interference at the 600m but considering he's run quite well."
Glen Boss (Prime Star): "He ran well. Needs wet tracks."
James McDonald (Amish Boy): "He's run well."
Josh Parr (Ellsberg): "Terrific effort."
Alysha Collett (Triple Ace): Horse broke down.
Regan Bayliss (Count De Rupee): "Should have gone close. When the horse broke down and he was shunted off the track."
Andrew Adkins (Tramonto): "At the top of the turn he lost his momentum. Probably a little disappointing."
Jason Collett (Blondeau): "Over-raced badly. Done well to finish as close as he did."
Tommy Berry (Equation): "Got his momentum taken away at the top of the straight. That didn't help him."
Nash Rawiller (High Supremacy): "He did a good job. What happened in front of us before the corner, we got exposed a bit soon. Horse did a good job to avoid everything and still run a really good race."
Kerrin McEvoy (Sammy): "Just wasn't run to suit. A bit steadily run for him."
Tim Clark (Vangelic): "That incident on the turn took her out of the race completely."
