Winning Trainer: John O'Shea
On winning first time for stable: "Congratulations to Nigel Austin and Anthony Mithen at Rosemont Stud. They paid a bunch of money for her. I'd say that their judgment was vindicated there because that was very impressive in a very good field."
On her lead in: "She has been a very unassuming mare. We've just been about getting her happy and healthy and just bringing her along steady. Her trials have been very good. We don't do a lot with her at home. So we just trusted her form and trusted the fact she was happy and healthy."
On the future: "I think when you go through her form she loves to be a little fresh. She has a very good first up record. I'd say she is too brilliant to go beyond six [furlongs] so we'll just poke along quietly and space her runs. Give her a relatively light time in the Spring and fire at something in the Autumn."
On The Everest [Lost And Running]: "Isn't it exciting. We are very happy with our horse. He is going to go as good as he can possibly go on Saturday. Whether that is good enough we'll see but he'll give a very good account of himself I guarantee you that."
On his improvement?: "What I will tell you is the things that we use as our KPIs at home - they are really going the right way. He is going to run his best race of the preparation next Saturday."
Winning Jockey: James McDonald
On the mare: "He's done a marvellous job with her. She's a beauty. She just let rip. He's taken her through the trial process, learned plenty about her and he was full of confidence leading into today. It was a pleasure to ride for him."
On the run: "It was good early. I only had one instruction to get away from the fence. She was going that well. I had to take the runs where I could. I could imagine John in the grandstand. It worked out well for us. Lucky she is a good mare to capitalise on the group status. Good work from the team."
Beaten Jockeys:
Nash Rawiller (Sweet Deal): "She didn't get the right run but she had a really good blow and still was very competitive first up off an interrupted prep. I was happy with her."
Hugh Bowman (Rocha Clock): "Great return."
Kathy O'Hara (Seasons): "She is racing alright. Barriers are letting her down."
Kerrin McEvoy (Madam Legend): "Was a good run. She gave a nice little kick. Ran a good race."
Glyn Schofield (Athiri): "Had a nice time in front. Just didn't fire coming home."
Regan Bayliss (Yamazaki): "She has come back in tremendous order."
Alysha Collett (Tricky Gal): "She ran absolutely super today. She had an awkward barrier to contend with that. Just got beaten by a better one."
Jason Collett (Wandabaa): "Track was a bit firm for her. Over-raced."
Tommy Berry (Great News): "Just raced a little bit flat today after having a few tough runs this prep."
Tim Clark (Belluci Babe): "She has run extremely well. Kept finding the line strongly."
Brock Ryan (Electric Girl): "Tried very hard and ran well. Good effort stepping up in this company."
Rachel King (Geist): "Really good run. Just didn't get a lot of clear air until the last bit."
Andrew Adkins (Shotgun Alli): "She ran well up in grade."
