2021 CAULFIELD CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Expecting Gundec and Sharper to be prominent again after they led the Derby Trial and El Patroness should work across to be handy. GUNSTOCK (6) gets to 2000m now and that looks a big plus. Strong through the line at Cranbourne before just getting out of his ground at Flemington when again closing strongly at the finish. Good draw and blinkers go on this time to sharpen him up and keep him in touch. He's the one to beat.

MICRO (1) ran a clear career best last time and he may just be a better horses getting out over longer trips now. Took nine runs to get off the mark but he had shown glimpses of talent and he might be ready to come good on that now.

EL PATRONESS (13) runs against the boys again having beaten them in the Super Impose and that is the key formline with Gunstock having been third there. His stablemate TIZ MAGIC (4) split the pair and has a nice profile which says he can improve again.
