2021 CAULFIELD CUP – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Pace comes from out wide with Incentivise, Homesman and Delphi all pressing on. Always plenty of pressure into the first corner in the Caulfield Cup so doubt they get it easy.

INCENTIVISE (2) is set to go around as the shortest priced favourite since Tobin Bronze in 1966 and he has earned that honour with a string of big wins, starting in Queensland where he announced himself, and then further established in Melbourne where he has won the Makybe Diva and the Turnbull in top style.

This is no walk in the park for him though with DELPHI (10) unbeaten in three beyond 2000m and set himself up to peak here with a strong win just last week. He ran second to NONCONFORMIST (16) in the Naturalism here and the pair are still getting better. Nonconformist ran an outstanding race at weight-for-age last week and must be respected.

MONTEFILIA (12) has a good Caulfield Cup profile and she was a strong winner of the Metropolitan. She has a real hope and so does YOUNG WERTHER (15) who ran a career best in the Turnbull and that ties him right in.
