Racecourse : Morphettville Picture: SA Jockey Club

BEST: CUBAN STATE (Race 9)

EACH-WAY PLAY: TRIP (Race 6)

MULTI: NONAME LANE (Race 1) all-up CUBAN STATE (Race 9)

RACE 1 - 12:17PM Zonte's Footstep Handicap (1550 METRES)

NONAME LANE is a nice horse who ran super finishing 3rd behind Sign of Ussuri in the Gawler Cup. He is a horse better suited on the big track but has a great record and picks himself here with the Ben Price claim. CROWN MINT was good in the Gawler Cup two starts back beaten just over 2 lengths before another solid effort behind Royal Mile last week. He draws a good gate. ALSVIOR  was good here behind The Billionaire three starts back and worked home late behind Royal Mile last week. LAKE’S FOLLY is around the mark, BOSSY BRITCHES has a good record and is going to be better over further but must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 1. NONAME LANE, 3. Crown Mint, 2. Alsvior, 4. Bossy Britches

PLAY: NONAME LANE and CROWN MINT to run the quinella.

RACE 2 - 12:52PM Port Adelaide Football Club Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1250 METRES)

TOTALLY DISCREET looked disappointing on face value first-up behind Squizzy Mizzy before making good ground from the back behind Rastelli last time. She draws a nice middle gate and gets her chance. PUDDING ran well behind Sacred Armour on debut making late ground. The extra trip looks ideal and she is the danger. FLIGHT DECK made good ground behind Halifax Road at Murray Bridge last time. BENZ BARON is a former Victorian on debut for Grant Young.

SELECTIONS: 11. TOTALLY DISCREET, 5. Pudding, 3. Flight Deck, 6. Rising Legend

PLAY: TOTALLY DISCREET the one to beat, but happy to back PUDDING each-way at the price.

RACE 3 - 1:27PM Hender Consulting Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)

LAMOREE was heavily backed at Murray Bridge on debut when 3rd behind Saasmit and has proven costly for punters as a beaten favourite in three of four starts. She resumes for the in-form Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable and happy to give her another chance here from a good barrier with the light weight. JOHNNY THUNDER has been placed at six of 11 starts and was runner-up behind Squizzy Mizzy here two starts back before a good effort behind Residue. He draws out but looks well placed and the money has been solid. FIELDS OF ATHENRY was well backed when beaten into third place at Gawler but shapes as a chance in a thin race on paper. YOWZA has ability but draws a sticky gate, WETSHOT  ran OK last time

SELECTIONS: 12. LAMOREE, 2. Johnny Thunder, 7. Fields Of Athenry, 3. Yowza

JOHNNY THUNDER

PLAY: LAMOREE gets one more chance.

RACE 4 - 2:02PM RSL Care SA - "Romani" Handicap (1000 METRES)

Tricky race and there could be some good speed. Has been solid money for SQUIZZY MIZZY who won well here first-up for the Stokes stable and was OK after leading when she battled on well behind Outpost over the 1100m. She draws to lead, the drop back to the 1000m looks ideal. The pressure could come from wide out with SEA WITNESS who showed good speed and was only grabbed late behind Lope De Wolf last time. She draws out but gets in well with the claim. GAZE GRISE was good behind Calypso Reign at Morphettville last time and will appreciate a strong tempo, likewise KISHSTAR who won consecutive races at Murray Bridge back in June and July. She was OK behind Calypso Reign last time and maps well from a good barrier. LARKHAM races well here, his form has been thereabouts, and he gets in OK after the claim. SANDSATION draws a nice barrier and was well backed when a touch disappointing at Port Lincoln first-up for the Doudle stable.

SELECTIONS: 5. SQUIZZY MIZZY, 2. Gaze Grise, 3. Kishstar, 1. Larkham

PLAY: KISHSTAR to run a place.

RACE 5 - 2:42PM Claude Haigh Memorial Handicap (2250 METRES)

Good race with some solid early money for NUDGE BAR who was double figure odds when markets opened. He comes off an OK run at Cranbourne but is two from two here on the Parks and when the Gelagotis stable comes to Adelaide they must be respected. He gets in well here with the Ben Price claim. NOBEL HEIGHTS comes off a 2400m win at Geelong and has solid Victorian staying form. He was placed in the SA Derby back in May behind Explosive Jack and is the horse with the most upside. He draws a gate looks very hard to beat. The best version of RITRATTO is very good. He has the ability to run rivals into the ground in front and his form last time in work was excellent. He's been OK this time in in strong races and has won over 2050m. SOUS LES NUAGES is the second Matt Cumani runner and comes out of the Hotham won by Great House, who ran well in the Melbourne Cup. He's an improver in a race like this. EXALTED AMBITION is racing well. OURKHANI has been good at his two runs back and gets out in trip which should suit.

SELECTIONS: 4. NOBEL HEIGHTS, 7. Nudge Bar, 1. Ritratto, 2. Sous Les Nuages

PLAY: The money for NUDGE BAR is impossible to ignore.

RACE 6 - 3:22PM Blooms The Chemist Handicap (1250 METRES)

Good start to the quaddie and it looks a nice race for TRIP second-up from a break. Her record around here on the Parks is first-class with two wins and two seconds this track and trip. She draws to lead, has the claim and is going to take some running down. TERBIUM is a good horse and his record shows that. He was too good for Street Tough last time coming off the speed, but he does have to shoulder a big weight. EXTRA TIME has been in great form and tried hard behind a white-hot Rock The Ring last time. The wide gate is against him, but he has come back in career best form and needs to be respected. DESIGNER CHEF was good in the same race last time, while TOMMY BLUE is flying holding off So You Can here last week. AQUEDUCT is unbeaten in two starts here, his best was over slightly further while KENYAN WONDER is an improver here second-up, she draws a sticky gate but is progressive. BARODA has a very good second-up record, INDIAN GAZELLE maps to get a nice run and has upside.

SELECTIONS: 7. TRIP, 1. Terbium, 2. Extra Time, 8. Kenyan Wonder

PLAY: TRIP will run a game race at her each-way price.

RACE 7 - 4:02PM The Gary Radford, OAM Memorial Handicap (1950 METRES)

COMFORT GIRL has only won the one race, but she has always been looking for ground and finished off strongly behind Sebonna last time. She draws the good gate with Jason Holder riding and is going to get every chance. WHISKEY ‘N’ WOMEN can improve in a race like this. He made some ground behind Jaamint last time and getting out in trip really suits his pattern, the tricky gate and Parks track may not. SKY HERO draws a tricky barrier but gets in well after the claim. BRAZEN FORCE ran well at his first run in SA and gets out to a more suitable trip but draws the car park. The Matt Seyers pair of CAPRICORN RIDGE and ENLIST both have claims in a race like this, while EXALTED RUTH gets in here OK after the claim and has been knocking on the door in similar races. She's drawn awkwardly but is a winner this track and trip. Stablemate THE RED SEA won well here last week, draws a good gate and must be respected

SELECTIONS: 12. COMFORT GIRL, 9. Whiskey 'N' Women, 5. Sky Hero, 6. Brazen Force

PLAY: WHISKEY 'N' WOMEN each-way.

RACE 8 - 4:42PM Grand Syndicates - 5% Shares Just $1,100 Handicap (1250 METRES)

Tricky race on paper. OUR DEEP AGENDA was solid in the market, speared to the lead and never looked like losing last time on the main track. He's winless in five starts here but if he finds a cheap lead will take some gunning down again. MAY BE FATE comes off a good run behind Terbium here last time, he draws a nice gate and gets in well. He has been very solid in betting and has been in the money at three of four starts this track and trip. CHILL WITH TEEJAY was good behind Outpost last time. She draws a sticky gate again here but has solid claims.

SELECTIONS: 13. OUR DEEP AGENDA, 3. May Be Fate, 11. Chill With Teejay, 10. Tully's Gold

PLAY: Trifecta with OUR DEEP AGENDA, MAY BE FATE and CHILL WITH TEEJAY.

RACE 9 - 5:25PM Jake Brown's 50th Celebration Handicap (1400 METRES)

CUBAN STATE went around a big price winning at Pakenham on debut and was good in two subsequent Victorian runs. Has had two jump outs in Victoria, winning the latest at Murtoa softly and the money suggest he's going to take some beating here first-up despite drawing a sticky barrier. PINOT PARTY is the watch, the Andrew Bobbin stable has been lethal when they have come to Adelaide and his last two runs in Victoria have been god for a race like this. RESIDUE was too good for Johnny Thunder two runs back and then OK behind Eyes Never Lie last time. PICAROON has ability and hit the line well behind Annika at Bordertown. SONNY GREEN is on the quick back up from a soft Penola win last Sunday. SHOPSTER ran well at odds behind Our Deep Agenda last time, ZOUSTORM is racing well.

SELECTIONS: 5. CUBAN STATE, 2. Pinot Party, 6. Residue, 8. Picaroon

PLAY: CUBAN STATE to run rivals ragged.
