Race 1 - 1:30PM BAKEWELL HAULAGE/WINGHAM CELLARBRATIONS COLTS GELDINGS & ENTIRES CLASS 1 SHOWCASE HANDICAP (1250 METRES)

6. Tupelawara just has to run 1250m. That's the only query. The three-year-old did his best work late behind Optimo over 900m first up before breaking his maiden in emphatic fashion at Port Macquarie over 1000m running much faster time than the BM58.

Dangers: 5. Thunder Moon was beaten at $1.75 last start in a BM58 on the back of an impressive maiden win. The winner broke the track record at Grafton though. 2. Jutland perhaps just didn't get the trip last start.

How to play it: Tupelawara WIN ($5.50 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: SPLIT

Race 2 - 2:05PM EDDIES FRESH CHICKENS F&M CLASS 1 SHOWCASE HANDICAP (1250 METRES)

6. Le Cygne Noir was well beaten at Scone first up over 1100m behind Lady River as an $81 pop but he looked to have more to offer and showed in his first preparation that he possesses the talent to win again shortly. Good roughie.
Dangers: 7. Boketto did enough at Kempsey last start to suggest she is just about ready now at her third run back. Dylan Gibbons takes the ride. Apprentice Madi Derrick sticks with the Kris Lees-trained stablemate 8. Dawnburst.

How to play it: Le Cygne Noir EACH WAY ($3.20 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: SPLIT

Race 3 - 2:40PM MARVELLOUS STUART SMITH MAIDEN SHOWCASE PLATE (1000 METRES)

Rolling the dice with debutant 12. Rubi Air for trainer Rod Northam. The filly looked sharp in her one trial win over 900m at Scone, doing it in style. It's no surprised to see Reece Jones stick with her off that. She's the big watch.
Dangers: 2. Zoom Outcome finished second as the well backed favourite at Kempsey last start but he beat third comfortably. 11. Paradise Island has also been knocking on the door with two seconds from her three career starts.

How to play it: Rubi Air WIN ($6 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: SPLIT

Race 4 - 3:20PM MANNING RIVER HOTEL BENCHMARK 66 SHOWCASE HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

Ed O'Rourke has had instant success with lightly raced five-year-old 2. Our Castaway. He won by a widening five lengths at Grafton at his first start for his new stable before running a luckless second in Queensland. Has wet track form. Keep following him.

Dangers: 1. Flying Mojo was good first up at Kempsey. He loves this track (6:2-0-3) and historically improves sharply second up. Sets up well. 7. Vicky's One is two from two on heavy tracks so the wetter the better.

How to play it: Our Castaway WIN ($2.40 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: SPLIT

Race 5 - 3:55PM SKY RACING WORLD COUNTRY MAIDEN SHOWCASE PLATE (1400 METRES)

3. Mr Eighty Eight won't be a maiden for too much longer. The question is how forward he is first up over 1400m on what could be a testing track. If he is beaten, it'll be on the score of fitness not talent. Forget his last start flop as he'd likelycome to the end of his preparation.

Dangers: 6. Evocator was 1200m back to 1100m at Port Macquarie last start and it told. Jumps out to 1400m now at his fifth career start which looks suitable. 10. Gem Flight is also on trial at 1400m but we're getting a price to find out if he'll get it.

How to play it: Mr Eighty Eight WIN ($2.50 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: ODDS

Race 6 - 4:39PM ZULU CLUB COUNTRY MAGIC BENCHMARK 66 SHOWCASE HANDICAP (1250 METRES)

5. Joey's Chance won well at Tamworth on a wet track two starts ago before failing to cope with a firm deck over 1100m last start. Forgive him that. He was tightened for room too. His recent wet track runs have been his best so monitor the conditons.

Dangers: 16. Atlantic Life is a knockout chance if she sneaks into the field as an emergency. What do we do with 1. Standing Bear? He is the class runner but the handicapper hasn't missed him with 66kg! No claim either.

How to play it: Joey's Chance WIN ($8.50 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: ODDS

Race 7 - 5:14PM STACKS LAW FIRM TAREE CUP (2000 METRES)

2. Margie Bee maps to get control of this race from in front and she loves wet tracks. That's a fair head start on any of her rivals. Then there's her recent form. She finished third, albeit well beaten, at Rosehill last start. Can only run well.

Dangers: 3. Master Shuhood can be a slippery stayer to catch, not having won since September 2020. He has run some big races in much deeper races than this, however, and if everything falls his way, look out!

How to play it: Margie Bee WIN ($3.50 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: SPLIT

Race 8 - 5:50PM TAREE KIA MANNING LIGHTNING HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

3. Bel Academy is very fit, racing at the top of his game and loves wet tracks. He has been beaten at his last two starts by flying mare Tara Jasmine but there's no shame in that. He was a dominant winner prior to those two clashes, leading all of the way. Will take catching.

Dangers: 2. Rifles can be hit-and-miss but his best definitely gives this a shake and he can be dynamic fresh. 9. Shadow Chaser looks the knockout hope as he should peak now third up and is another that scoots through wet ground.

How to play it: Bel Academy WIN ($3.40 TAB Fixed Odds) Odds & Evens: SPLIT
