RACE 1 - 1:05PM Haulmark Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

Good maiden to start the day. Travis Doudle has two key chances.RUSHAWAY LAD has been runner-up at both starts, the latest running 2nd behind Vintage Folly here. He draws out but Todd Pannell takes the ride. Stablemate TYPHOON AWARD is a 3yo filly on debut and she was pushed out to win a recent Oakbank trial. She draws a good gate and is going to be right in a race like this. CASSANDRA ISABEL is bursting to win a race placed at seven of 10 and was 3rd in the Vintage Folly race here last time. She will put herself in a good spot from a middle gate. DAZZLING HARMONY was favourite at Gawler two starts back.

 RACE 2 - 1:40PM Clare Valley Toyota Maiden Plate (1600 METRES)

Another maiden and one I'm not sold on. MELODY SHINE has finished 4th in three of four starts the latest when an easing favourite coming from well back behind Friendly Ghost. She draws a nice barrier and gets her chance. SEAFARING is on debut for Michael Hickmott but was well beaten in a recent Oakbank trial. ORDER IS RESTORED has finished 3rd at his past three, the latest was OK but draws a wide gate. JOE'S CHOISIR has had the three starts his best effort running 4th behind Star Lyric at Murray Bridge two starts back. He draws a nice gate and should run well.

 RACE 3 - 2:15PM Atlas Event & Party Hire Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

Another maiden. LIGHTS OF BROADWAY was scratched from Morphettville last weekend where fancied and was an eye-catching run on debut closing off well behind Totally Discreet. This looks a winnable race. FRENCH COMET is on debut for the McEvoy stable and owned by some big names. Has had three jump-outs, running 2nd in his latest two, the latest at Ballarat and is sure to be primed for this. LONRODEX is on debut for Matt Seyers and has had the two trials running 2nd at Oakbank in his latest. PRANCING IBIS is on debut for the in-form Searle/Callanan stable and trialled at Oakbank. JEAN VALJEAN was runner-up behind Fields Of Athenry at Strathalbyn last time.

PLAY: LIGHTS OF BROADWAY looks a solid play at $4.20 in opening markets.

 RACE 4 - 2:50PM Coopers Benchmark 58 Handicap (Heat 7 TAB Southern Speed Series) (2200 METRES)

LEFTRIGHTGOODNITE was runner-up at Penola two starts back before winning at Strathalbyn. The extra trip shouldn't be an issue and she looks a stayer on the up. LAST ZERPRISE was a good winner at Murray Bridge three starts back over 1400m. She chased home Leftrightgoodnite last time. PIG IN MUD was OK first-up for the Alexander stable beaten 5.1 lengths behind Pinot Party at Morphettville over 1400m. He draws a good barrier and shapes as a big improver out to the 2200m. MUFFLA needs to fire here. His first-up run over the 1300m at Morphettville on the Parks was good, his past two only fair. He was beaten 5.6 lengths behind Not Alone last time here and is capable of improving.

PLAY: A few chances, PIG IN MUD each-way at the odds.

 RACE 5 - 3:25PM Taylors Wines Benchmark 58 Handicap (Heat 11 TAB Alcopop Series) (1400 METRES)

CUBAN STATE was a Pakenham winner in February and had solid market support first-up when 4th beaten 1.1 lengths behind Pinot Party at Morphettville. That's solid form for a race like this. STAR LYRIC was a Murray Bridge winner back in June and resumed with a good effort boxing on well for 3rd behind Jive Baby here. The blinkers go on and she draws the inside gate. FREE OF SIN was sent out favourite at Clare when 3rd  behind Gatsby's Girl. Her record is sound and she maps to get a good run here. SEA PRINCESS is a former Victorian who won a Wangaratta maiden and is on debut for Michael Hickmott. Her recent Oakbank trial was OK without really being asked for a lot. FRANKEL STAR ran well behind Spectacle at Balaklava first-up from spell. He draws a nice barrier and has a win and a third from his two starts here previously. DEEVINE has been placed in all three starts here, the latest in the race won by Spectacle. He defeated Gimme A Reason at Murray Bridge two starts back and should run well. FRIENDLY GHOST comes off a good win here in maiden company last time here and maps well from a good barrier. RUBBLE comes off a Murray Bridge win on Sunday.

PLAY: Backing CUBAN STATE with a saver on STAR LYRIC.

 RACE 6 - 4:00PM Agfert Benchmark 52 Handicap (1300 METRES)

JIVE BABY has been racing well. She was placed behind Tahnee Tradition three starts back before being heavily backed to beat Rippa Eagle here last time out. She draws wide but the stable is in-form and she'll take some beating again. HARBOURING made good ground from back in the field running 5th behind St Just at Gawler last week. He has two wins and two placings from his six starts here and should run well from the good barrier. ALPHAEUS had specking in the market when close-up behind Equichunk last tie out at Strathalbyn. YOU ES MARSHAL is racing well.

SELECTIONS: 6 JIVE BABY, 7 Harbouring, 1 Alphaeus, 9 You Es Marshal

PLAY: JIVE BABY at $3.50 or better is worth a ticket.

 RACE 7 - 4:35PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Benchmark 54 Handicap (1600 METRES)

KALAMON has won four of his five starts this track and trip, his only other start he finished second. He has good form around the likes of Li'l Hank, Noname Lane and Hypercane. He draws wide but gets in OK after the claim and his record here is impossible to ignore. Stablemate GRACIEBIRD has proven costly but was good here five starts back when 3rd behind Addictions. She is good enough to giving this a shake. APPLIED was placed at consecutive races before chasing home Swiss Hero last time. GO BOO BOO has ability and was runner-up at Strathalbyn behind Rapid Raiser before a handy effort there behind Kilowatt. FOX D'OR has shown ability and battled away OK behind Jive Baby at Balaklava. SAMURAI MOON has two trials under his belt on debut for Kirsten Mooney, CALIBURN won a recent Oakbank trial.

 RACE 8 - 5:10PM TQCSI Class One Handicap (1050 METRES)

CHAMPAGNE DREAMS was an impressive Morphettville winner on debut and hasn't raced since chasing home Lombardo at Morphettville in July. She was scratched from Morphettville on Saturday, the long straight here should suit. VINTAGE FOLLY showed plenty of fight to hold of Rushaway Lad here last time, She draws out but should be in the finish. STARSPANGLED SAGA was a Strathalbyn winner in February and has trialled nicely for her return. She draws a middle gate and will make her own luck. ROCKATANSKY is knocking on the door. ASHADY PAST was a good Gawler winner two starts back and was OK behind Lady Pavli Chenko last start.
