In Love Du Choquel won his second mounted race from four attempts in impressive fashion. The Nicolas Bridault-trained four-year-old dictated the tempo, leading throughout. He was put to the test down the back straight when pressured by Izard Des Agets however he had plenty left in reserve. Francois Lagadeuc asked his mount to stretch away from rivals and the response was immediate, clearing away to win with plenty in hand.
The son of G1 Critérium des 5 ans (3000m) winner Carat Williams is bred to be better than this class, out of a mare who has produced mounted winners. In Love Du Choquel can compete at a higher level as an unexposed mounted performer and is worth keeping on side for the remainder of the campaign.
