2022 AUSTRALIA STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Marabi to take it up ahead of Turaath and Streets Of Avalon. Pace should be strong. Main focus will be on the unbeaten MARABI (10) who has gone five from five and looked one for this level from the outset. Twice a winner in good style over the 1200m here so that should hold no fears.
This is far and away her toughest test though and think that the likes of SINAWANN (6) and WILD PLANET (2) pose genuine threats. Sinawann was terrific winning the Heffernan before a short break and while he will be better again at 1400m with this one under his belt he has smart form in Ireland and looks right up to this level. Wild Planet was close up Eduardo when he resumed last prep. Long break now but he must be a hope.
Interesting to see the return of LIGHTSABER (12) against the older horses. Guineas fourth was really good. Have to respect STREETS OF AVALON (1).
