The Adam Trinder -trained pair of Bello Beau and Jaguar Stone are likely to dominate betting, but Gary White is particularly keen on the chances of Remuda emerging triumphant.

"Remuda ran really well at Elwick last start behind Bello Beau, and he is going to love the big open spaces of the Launceston track," White said.

"He is very much a momentum horse that needs room to gallop, and he has drawn a gate (6) that will allow the rider (Bulent Muhcu) to give him the sort of run he needs to excel.

"His trackwork suggests he has come on since the Elwick Stakes, so we are excited about his chances on Sunday."

Remuda (Inference-Heaven's Choice) sat three-wide the trip last start and without cover, yet he refused to wilt in the home straight.

Galan has been a work in progress since he was broken in, but White has always been impressed with the gelding's athleticism that stands him out from all the two-year-olds he has had through the stable this season.

"Galan has so much ability, but the penny hasn't dropped with him yet, although he wasn't far off them in the Elwick Stakes, and he too has come on since that run.

Bello Beau has been impressive in winning his only two starts, the latest in the Elwick Stakes over 1100 metres that followed a soft win in the Alexandra Plate at the same venue in late December.

His stablemate Jaguar Stone strolled to an effortless win in a 2YO maiden in Hobart four weeks ago over 1000 metres and produced good sectionals and Trinder said the Gold Sovereign was her main mission.

Piink Beauty from the Glenn Stevenson stable led in the Elwick Stakes and battled on courageously and according to her trainer the filly has come on since the Elwick Stakes.

The Patrick Dargan-trained Ella Exceeds broke her maiden status at her second start in Hobart in a 2YO handicap in late November, but she could only manage an eighth of 10 in the Elwick Stakes, beaten almost seven lengths.

Last year's top-priced yearling at the Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale, Bold Instinct from the Cameron Thompson stable has had two starts for no result, but the gelded son of Impending gives the impression he will appreciate stepping out to 1200 metres for the first time.

The only interstate invader is the Matthew Brown-trained filly Ola Capri that has yet to face the starter.
