Kayla Crowther sits 15 ½ wins clear of Barend Vorster on the premiership producing doubles at Port Lincoln on Friday, Saturday at Morphettville and then in the state's South East at Naracoorte on Sunday.

The Garret Lynch-trained Dustin Dhahran and local Leonarda kicked things off at Port Lincoln before she was back in town and winning aboard Sky Call for Will Clarken and Quietly Discreet for the Phillip Stokes stable on the Parks track at Morphettville.

And at Penola on Sunday, Crowther was successful with Might Mabel for Daryl Dodson whilst combining with the Peter Hardacre-trained Sebonna to win the $31,800 Naracoorte Cup.

The six-year-old won the Bordertown Cup back in December and has finished an unlucky fourth in Adelaide, second in the Coonawarra Cup while surviving a bought of colic in between in between in what has been a superb campaign and placing himself in prime position in the 2021/22 Limestone Coast Cup Series.

"We don't know what bought it (colic) on, a couple of trips to the vet, he got through it and bounce backed well,'' Hardacre said.

"He didn't need to have a tough run and Kayla just gave them the nice soft run behind the lead.

"And that's made a big difference after missing that run. He's the best horse in the race,'' he said.

Sebonna's win also marking five years since Crowther made her debut at the same meeting, the rising star in the SA riding ranks having now recorded 422 winners.

Tony and Calvin McEvoy dominated the Morphettville meeting with a treble.

Night Passage defeated the heavily backed Japery in the opening race before Strike Eagle defeated another well tried Victorian Vain Fox. Yulong Justify made it two wins from two starts since coming back to SA in the last.

And it was a big day for stable rider Madison Lloyd who was aboard Strike Eagle and Yulong Justify to record her first Adelaide double.
