Florescent Star has been in good form this preparation winning a benchmark 78 handicap at Flemington three starts back and her last-start second to In the Boat at Moonee Valley two weeks ago was full of merit.

The Zoustar four-year-old has won four from 13 and Amy Yargi said the Bow Mistress has been her main mission this preparation.

"We decided to chase some black type races with the mare and the Bow Mistress looked an ideal choice," Yargi said.

"We probably set her for this race 12 months ago and she's handled everything we've thrown at her this preparation and probably exceeded our expectations."

Florescent Star travels by sea on Tuesday night and will be stabled with Team Wells in Devonport.

The other Zoustar mare in the field is the Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained Zoushine that comes off a last-start third in a mares' race over 1200m at Morphettville in South Australia.

Cranbourne trainer Kevin Corstens will saddle up Bons Abroad that has won five from 24 but she hasn't won since May last year and will be tackling the Bow Mistress first-up from a three-month break.

The remaining invader is the Anthony and Sam Freeman-trained Award Winner that has had three runs this time in with the latest a third at Caulfield in a BM70 race for fillies and mares behind Vespertine, beaten just over a half-length.

The Adam Trinder-trained Miss Tuppence is the only three-year-old filly in the race, and she could not have been more impressive in winning the Lady Lynette over 1100m in Hobart last start and looms as one of the best local chances along with the Bill Ryan-trained Take the Sit.

Carbine Club 3YO Handicap

Turk Warrior returns to racing on Friday in the Carbine Club 3YO Handicap over 1100m.

Stevenson has chosen to send his stable star around in the race instead of giving the gelding a trial at Longford prior to running in the $75,000 3YO Classic on Launceston Cup Day.

Turk Warrior was handicapped to carry 62kg, but stable apprentice Codi Jordan will claim three kilograms to lighten the load, while all other runners are handicapped on the minimum of 54kg.
