Tracey Bartley has one of top chances for this year's Polytrack Provincial-Midway Championships but he's hoping the promising Sebrenco will add further firepower to his hand ahead of her return at Kembla Grange.
A first up date with the Colin Davies Benchmark 64 Handicap (1000m) on Tuesday is poised to lay the platform for a crack at the Championships series heats in the coming weeks for Sebrenco.
Tracey Bartley already has equal-second favourite Kiss Sum tracking on a similar path with the Four Pillars winner also gearing up for the coveted series.
While Sebrenco is yet to put the same runs on the board as her star stablemate, Bartley, who also has the talented Barossa Rosa in his arsenal, is confident his emerging filly has the potential to be a factor on the big stage.
"She is a nice filly," Bartley said.
"She is a half to Miss Redoble and I would say she is every bit as good as her.
"We are going to push on toward the Gosford heat after her run this week."
Half-sister Miss Redoble won the Kembla Grange Qualifier back in 2019 before going on to finish 11th in Bobbing's victory in the Provincial Championships finale.
Sebrenco will get the chance to emulate that feat on March 12 on the Central Coast but must first navigate her way through her first up assignment at Kembla.
The daughter of Sebring currently only has four starts to her name but has never finished worse than second and was a determined winner at Wyong over 1200m at her last start in July.
Bartley gave the promising filly a lengthy spell after the win and Sebrenco will now return to the races at the provincials without a trial but forward enough to be a leading contender on Tuesday.
"I think she will be hard to beat," Bartley said.
"She will sit back tomorrow and finish off. She hasn't trialled but she is only a light-framed filly.
"She should run very well and will take improvement out of it of course but I think she can be a chance in The Championships."
Two-kilo claiming apprentice Dylan Gibbons will ride Sebrenco, which is a $2.50 TAB favourite to return a winner.
Bartley could be set to return to Illawarra next month for the club's massive double header meeting which will feature the Group 3 Kembla Grange Classic and Provincial-Midway Championships Qualifier.
The qualifier on March 11 is one of two that he is considering to unleash Kiss Sum in as he seeks to book a spot in the $500,000 finale.
"We will go around at Hawkesbury or Kembla," Bartley said.
"I will drop him back a tier from those serious colts he took on last weekend (in the Hobartville) but I thought he was terrific late after they just left him flat footed when they sprinted.
"He is going good."
Kiss Sum is rated an $11 chance with TAB to win the Provincial-Midway Championships.
