Scott Brunton was elated when his talented sprinter Galenus led throughout to win the Royal Rambo Quality over 1200m in. Launceston on Wednesday.

Galenus ($5.50) was able to cross the field easily with Siggy Carr aboard and after sneaking cheap sectionals early, the gelding was able to career away from his rivals in the home straight and record an effortless win over Hellova Night ($4.40) and Liffeybeau ($18).

Brunton has always had a high opinion of the magnus gelding and while he has an impressive strike rate of six wins from 11 starts, the gelding has had limited opportunities because of minor issues.

"I'm glad he was able to show his worth today because he does possess a lot of ability," Brunton said.

"We have to manage him but when he's at the top of his game he is an exceptional galloper."

The gelding was partnered by Siggy Carr who said she couldn't believe how easy she had it in front.

"They let me get away with murder with cheap sectionals because nothing came out of the pack to challenge," Carr said.

"He was in third gear turning for home and when I asked him for more, he quickly put the result beyond doubt."
