After nearly three years together, Michael and Richard Freedman have announced an end to their training partnership.

Brothers Michael and Richard Freedman are set to go their separate ways having announced the end of their training partnership. 

The pair joined forces in 2019 and will end their partnership on April 1 to pursue individual training careers. 

Michael, who previously trained in Singapore and Hong Kong, will continue to train out of their Randwick and Hawkesbury stables while Richard will be based at Rosehill. 

Richard and Michael are the younger brothers of Lee Freedman who is training on the Gold Coast while another of their brothers Anthony, in partnership with his son Sam, sit second on this season's Melbourne Trainers' Premiership. 

Since teaming up, the Freedman brothers have prepared 183 winners, three at Group 1 level, the most recent being Forbidden Love in the Canterbury Stakes at Randwick last Saturday. 

They scored their biggest win when Stay Inside, who has been recently retired to stand at stud, won last year's Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill. 

"Right now, it is business as usual as we make the transition to separate training licences," a joint release to owners said. 

"The future of the horses and our great staff are vitally important to us and we will attempt to make the transition as smooth as possible."
