On the run: "It did pretty much worked out to plan. Damien gave him a peach of a ride. I was a little bit unsure on the line but, to be fair to the horse, he dug deep and he fought and he held on."

The key to the horse: "He's probably a horse that won't run out past the 1300, 1400 range and as we saw today keeping him fresh is the key."

Winning Jockey: Damien Thornton

On the run and Lina's Legend as a horse: "I thought he did a good job. He's always shown ability, I trialled him a few times early days and had a good opinion of him and he won a couple in a row and looked like being a nice horse."

"His first-up run this time was good and he sort of dropped off a touch, but he was back to his best today and he needed to be to tough it out and cling on."
