The newly minted training partnership of father and son Richard and Will Freedman has made a flying start, already producing metropolitan winners in two states and that could grow to three after the Anzac Day long weekend.

The pair teamed up after Richard and his brother Michael decided to go their separate ways from the start of April, with the Scone-based Will moving back to Sydney to join forces with his father at Rosehill.

Will Freedman said the move wasn't planned, although they both figured it might happen at some point.

"I was focusing on what I was doing and he was focusing on what he was doing and then the stars aligned and it made sense," Will Freedman said.

"I wouldn't say it was pre-planned but….we weren't opposed to it and it looks like it is going to work out well."

The duo celebrated a two-state metropolitan double last weekend with Juan Diva successful at Caulfield and On The Lead at Eagle Farm.

They will have a handful of runners at the Randwick and Kensington meetings on Saturday and Anzac Day respectively, and are hoping to keep their momentum rolling.

Two-year-old Luna Rocks is unlikely to take her place in the opening race on Saturday after drawing barrier 16 of 17, although Luvoir is set to resume from a wide draw in the Ranvet Handicap (1400m).

Listed placed during last year's Brisbane winter carnival, Luvoir wasn't disgraced in stronger races during the spring and Will Freedman said he had returned to work in superb condition.

"It will be short of his best distance on Saturday, but I'd be keeping an eye on him because I think he will progress throughout this preparation," he said.

Park Avenue has accepted for races on Saturday and Monday and Freedman says they will monitor weather and track conditions before deciding which way he goes.

"He doesn't really like the super heavy going so we will wait and see what happens on Saturday morning," Freedman said.

"But you can expect sharp improvement from him and I don't think he will be out of place in either of those races. He is probably a good each-way chance at either venue."
