2022 VRC ST LEGER – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
The St Leger should be a genuine stamina test with Zoumon leading the way from Sonic The Hedgehog, Bastida with The Cunning Fox and Fearentless stalking. ALEGRON (1) gets his chance to win a nice race having been gallant off a tough run when second in the Victoria Derby behind boom galloper Hitotsu last Spring at this track. He again only went down narrowly to the same horse in the ATC Australian Derby last start in a stirring finish on a very Heavy surface. If that hasn't flattened him he's the one to beat.
THE CUNNING FOX (2) has had a solid grounding for this winning the St Leger Trial two starts ago before a game second last start behind an impressive type. He looms as a danger. ZOUMON (4) will ensure a stamina test out in front and was far from disgraced last start. He warrants respect.
RAGING BULL (3) gets to the right race now and appeals each way back on firmer footing. FEARENTLESS (13) is lightly raced and presents as a stayer of the future based on her form since hitting 2000m plus. Look for another bold showing.
