Winning Trainer: Mark Currie
Thoughts on the win: "They underestimated him a bit. I suppose these last four runs have been a bit ordinary for him, but there's been a lot of work go into him with everyone at home and he's done the job today."
"He surprised me. I knew he was fit and healthy and I was worried about the heavy track but he won pretty easy.
"If they could put more on at the Gold Coast it'd be good. He loves it here."
Soundness issues: "He's had feed issues since the Magic Millions Day, he's had a lot of joint trouble. There's been a lot of ice and work go into him. He's had a chip taken out of his fetlock. Other than that, everything else from his knees up are 100% percent. It's just his fetlocks and things in his feet."
Winning Jockey: Brad Stewart
Thoughts in run: "I didn't really have any set plan, but he landed in a good spot outside of the leader. I think it was just a case of he handled the track and the conditions better than most of them today. It was a good win."
Thoughts pre race: "I was pretty confident. The race fell away with the wet weather and the scratchings. He's a good horse on his day. He always races well here too which is a plus."
