2022 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN DERBY – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Son Of Emperor and King Of Pharaohs to take up the running at a nice tempo. Third of the carnival G1s is the South Australian Derby. It is hard to get away from ALEGRON (1) given the staying ability he has shown. He seemed in trouble in the VRC St Leger but surged late to score. As long as they don't sprint too fast for him he's the one.
DETONATOR JACK (6) has to be the one to watch as you respect the unbeaten horse. He just keeps finding the line and wants to stay. HARLEYMOVEN (5) did work home strongly in the Chairman's Stakes and would have loved to sit closer here. JUNGLE MAGNATE (3) won that race so has to come into contention off that. Bred to love this trip. YAPHET (11) is one-paced but backs up into this.
