Winning Trainer: Matthew Park
Light horse - what do you do at home: "We just poke around, train him off the scale. When his weight drops, we back off and when he needs a gallop we give him a gallop. He trains himself."
What do with him now: "Try and find another one. In his work with the blinkers off, he really relaxes but with the blinkers on he gets down to gallop."
Winning Jockey: Mark Du Plessis
On win: "It's taken me four years to ride a winner for Matty. God bless him, everytime he comes to town he supports me. He's found a good one. He's had his problems but he's been able to iron them out. When I spoke to him last time I said to keep him at 1000 metres. He's got a devastating turn of foot. With 52 (kilos) I wanted to be closer, but he's happier just finding his feet and midrace coming into it and exploding. There's definitely a nice race in him.
All legs: "I think he's got in a pattern and no-one is going to break him. I think he's best ridden where he wants to be."
Kept in improving through the race: "He was going to win a long way out, wasn't he."
