Winning Trainer: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr (Price interviewed)
On the horse and his fitness levels today: "He's one of those imports where I don't think I've worked him hard to win first-up. I thought I'd just keep him happy and sound and take him out the back of Cranbourne in the hills. We don't gallop him much and that must be the way to train him properly.
On his campaign ahead: "This is a new preparation for him because he's going to have to race on solid ground.
"He goes to Moonee Valley over a mile (Crystal Mile) and then hopefully ends up in the $3 million race (Champions Mile) here during the carnival. That's his plan.
"He'll definitely improve from today, but I thought he might have been lacking a bit of hard race fitness.
"He doesn't want a lot of racing, he doesn't want a lot of galloping. We'll just keep him happy.
"Hopefully he's improved from last prep and we can win a bigger race."
Winning Jockey: Jamie Kah
On the win: "It was a great win and he's obviously not screwed down. He was probably tiring late, which he was entitled to, he got pressured pretty early, but he's a tough horse.
"They put the crossover (noseband) on him and it makes my job a lot easier now. He's not fighting with me the whole way. Tough win first up."
On his fitness today: "The team's obviously not had him here 100 precent screwed down so that was nice to see. He'll improve dramatically off that I think, but all they can do is win and he did that.
"I could feel he was peaking but he's not one to give up without a fight. The team's done a great job bringing him here in this order."
