Winning Trainer: Kerry Parker
On the horse: "She's done a wonderful job, she's come a long way. Last prep we pushed her into those three-year-old races and no doubt it's helped her come on and be a more mature mare now. She's still a little bit silly here today before the race, but it had been a month between runs. Absolutely thrilled to see her get the job done."
Further than a mile?: "You're only four-years-old once, if we could get into the Golden Eagle, that was always the plan. Go three weeks, now two weeks to come back another 100m, but she's silly enough and so am I."
"You've got to do what you've got to do, and you aim up. You can't come back and run in it next year. That's been our plan all along to try and keep her as fresh as we could and space those runs three weeks between to hopefully get into the Golden Eagle."
Winning Jockey: Craig Williams
On taking a break from racing and helping out in the Ukraine: "I took a holiday to get away from racing after being in the Ukraine for six days to deliver the life-saving survival trauma kits. They gave me advice about what are the countries to go, and the first thing they highlighted was there's no war there. I said 'that's obviously a safer country."
"We're really grateful for the support of the racing industry, our project my wife and I with the help and financial contributions of Australians and mostly people of the thoroughbred racing industry."
Today, it's a really good time where I can shine, represent our cause, represent my family, represent my team and I can't do it without the horses that I have underneath me. They are the equine thoroughbreds, they are the equine specialists, sporting elite, and I was lucky enough my manager secured the ride on this horse today for Mr (Kerry) Parker and I was able to get the job done."
Beaten Jockeys:
Hugh Bowman (Polly Grey): "Gave me a beautiful ride. I was really pleased with her."
Nash Rawiller (Honeycreeper): "She was super. She hit the line very well."
Chad Schofield (More Prophets): "Followed the winner everywhere but just didn't let go like we know she can."
Damian Lane (Meg): "Didn't show he usual finish today."
James McDonald (Grace And Harmony): "She is just not letting down at the moment. Hopefully that will change after a freshen up."
Jay Ford (Wonderful Riri): "She is going super. Just barriers are killing her."
Kerrin McEvoy (Finepoint): "She ran a great race. Ducked back to the inside and finished off."
Robbie Dolan (Gin Martini): "Nice run. She will improve once she gets over further."
Rachel King (Ita): "Tough run from an awkward gate."
Andrew Adkins (Narrated): "She ran a terrific race."
Tyler Schiller (Dream Maiden): "A big jump from Canterbury to here but she's done a really good job."
Kathy O'Hara (Clear Blonde): "I thought that was a pretty good effort up in grade this afternoon."
