Winning Trainer: Keith Dryden
Revenge for Chris beating him in Wagga Cup?: " I don't know about revenge. If you can get anywhere near Chris you're going good. I'm pretty happy with the result. (Owner) Tony Hartnell has stuck by me, he's in hospital, he's not very well so he will get a great thrill out of it."
Tyler Schiller was confident: "He declared it to me when we were waiting to mount up. I said, he's trained on well since, I think we should be fifth or sixth the fence. He said, íf we are, he will win. That's where I want to be and he'll be terribly hard to beat."
Was Keith that confident?: "Not as much as that. I was confident he'd run well for us. You can't declare them in these races, he did but I can't."
A great race to win?: "It's another thing I've done in my life. I suppose training is coming to an end for me, I've probably only got 20 years left. But great to win it, great for Mr Hartnell."
Winning Jockey: Tyler Schiller
On winning this race: "I couldn't have the 'big' one, so I had to settle for the 'little' one. But it's great to do it for Keith. He's a super trainer and the horse is a really genuine boy so it was good to get the win today."
On the win: "He was very brave to still fight on after that, he copped a bit of a bump. He had a really tough run the other day. I was confident, when I saw the draw, he was going to get a great run then it was just trying to find a run at the top of the straight and we got one."
Beaten Jockeys:
Brenton Avdulla (Dr Drill): "Actually got a pretty good cart into the race but didn't let go on that ground."
Josh Parr (Steely): "Terrific effort. Can't fault him."
Jeff Penza (Five Kingdom): "Had to do a bit of work from the wide gate. Moved up well on the home turn. Just found wanting up the straight."
William Pike (Solar Apex): "Very good run. I just couldn't find one to track up on the bend."
Tom Sherry (Tampering): "Found the ground too firm for him today."
Chad Schofield (Philipsburg): "Should have finished a bit closer. Got checked at a vital stage."
Regan Bayliss (The Ritz): "Hit a bit of a flat spot and couldn't get into it after that."
Dylan Gibbons (Ita): "Went super. Had a nice spot three wide with cover. Probably just ran out of gas."
Kathy O'Hara (Two Big Fari): "Very good effort. Tried his hardest. Probably just a couple of lengths off that grade."
Reece Jones (Point Counterpoint): "Great little run in behind them. Peeled off halfway down the straight and attacked the line well."
Andrew Adkins (Olympic Theatre): "Ran a creditable race. Would prefer a bit more cut in the ground and 2000m."
Zac Lloyd (Shameonus): "Tough run from the gate."
Serg Lisnyy (Beckford): "First up at 1600m but was coming on the line."
Alysha Collett (Outback Gladiator): "He has run super today. Had to go back to last from barrier 19 and only been beaten two lengths."
Ashleigh Stanley (Not Negotiating): "She had a pretty tough run. Was trapped deep the whole way. A bit tougher company down here."
Noriyuki Masuda (Jacksprat): "A bit too good for him."
Ellen Hennessy (She's All In): "A little bit out of her grade. Doesn't have the turn of foot."
Jess Taylor (Upper House): No comment given.
Jay Ford (Invincible Dash): "He ran a cheeky race for a long shot."
