Peter Moody pair She Dances and Cotel have drawn contrasting barriers at Moonee Valley.

Trainer Peter Moody is weighing-up whether he will have one or two runners in the VOBIS Gold Carat at Moonee Valley. 

Saturday's race over 1200m for three-year-olds that is for VOBIS Gold qualified horses only, carries $175,000 in prize money with a further $30,000 in bonuses. 

Moody has She Dances and Cotel engaged in the race with She Dances drawing barrier one while Cotel has the widest marble. 

Already Capital Express has been withdrawn to run at Flemington on Sunday, but that only brings Cotel into barrier 13. 

She Dances is aiming for three straight wins having scored at Cranbourne on November 25 before leading throughout over 1200m at Flemington on December 17 while Cotel, which Moody also owns, won her first two starts at Caulfield and Cranbourne before finishing third to stablemate For Real Life over 1100m at Flemington on December 17. 

"She Dances has drawn low and Cotel has drawn the outside, so I'll have a think about that with Cotel and have a look at the race, but she might stay home," Moody said. 

"They've both trained on well and it's the right race for them, and for that sort of money it has attracted a pretty handy field." 

She Dances has won three of her five starts following a debut win at Sandown in June and Moody had confidence in the filly to start her in a Group 3 race at Flemington during Melbourne Cup week. 

"She's a handy little filly She Dances and from a good draw I would think she would run a good, competitive race again," Moody said. 

"Cotel is an on-pace type, so the race shape is important for her, but she might be having the day off from that draw. 

"After Saturday, and depending on what She Dances does, some 'black type' would be nice, but her performance on Saturday will dictate where she goes."
