Jockeys Peter Knuckey and Troy Turner have escaped serious injury after their heavy falls saw the running of the Group 2 Perth Cup (2400m) declared a 'no-race' at Ascot on Sunday.

Around 200 metres after the start, Knuckey aboard Chili Is Hot and Turner riding Dom To Shoot fell to the ground.

While the field continued the event was abandoned mid-race.
