SANDOWN

Group 1 - Ladbrokes C.F. Orr Stakes (3yo+ WFA - 1400m)

1st: Jacquinot (Damian Lane/Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr) - $4
2nd: Gentleman Roy (Mark Zahra/Ben & JD Hayes) - $8
3rd: Nugget (John Allen/Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace) - $10

Winning Time: 1:22.54     Last 600m: N/A

Margins: Short Head x Short Neck

**PROTEST 2nd v 1st for interference over last 100m. Gentleman Roy first over the line**

Beaten jockey comments:

Jamie Kah (I'm Thunderstruck): "He was good. He was probably a bit heavier than we thought he was. He was having a good blow and he just felt like he needed it today."

Craig Williams (Mr Brightside): "His run was excellent. He ran up to the way the stable thought he was going and the way that he trialled. Unfortunately the barrier was a big disadvantage and I thought he raced in a lot different manner than what he has in previous preparations and I think that opens up a lot more avenues in terms of options for him."

Jarrod Fry (Tuvalu): "I thought the run was okay. Drawn inside with blinkers on, he didn't really like it. He just had his head to the side and when I asked him let go he wasn't really the same. I think the blinkers will come back off

Jamie Mott (Callsign Mav): "He raced very dour today but I just wonder if he is looking for a bit more give in the tracks."

Arron Lynch (Western Empire): "We got him out the gates today and he was in a good spot. He traveled comfortable. Just didn't have sprint like I thought he would today."

Michael Dee (Aegon): "Very good run from back where we were. He's rounded the race off really well back to the inside, so hopefully he can gain a start in the All-Star Mile and at that mile he'll be running a great race."

John Allen (Nugget): "He raced very well. He went super. Just beaten (by a) faster one over 1100."

Damien Oliver (Turaath): "She went ok. She's probably just better suited in a mares race."

RANDWICK

Group 2 - TAB Apollo Stakes (3yo+ WFA - 1400m)

1st: Anamoe (J Cummings/J McDonald) - $1.60F
2nd: Hinged (C Waller/B Avdulla) - $14
3rd: Fangirl (C Waller/K McEvoy) - $8.50

Winning Time: 1:22.71 Last 600m: 33.61

Margins: ¾L x Long Neck

Beaten jockey comments:

Nash Rawiller (Mo'unga): "Just sort of doughy out of the gates today. Was forced to ride him a quiet race. We just didn't have gatespeed today. He ended up two lengths too far back. I was concerned for him pulling up. He seems to have pulled up fine. He shortened up over the line and gave me a fright. Thankfully I felt there was nothing to worry about."

Chad Schofield (Laws Of Indices): "I thought he was brave. He's a horse who likes to race with cover but obviously with that field full of horses resuming and the wide draw we didn't get cover. He boxed on gamely."

Sam Clipperton (Stockman): "Really good return. He just chased them around then. He's got his Sydney Cup preparations underway."

Ryan Maloney (Vega One): "Given the way the race was run, the alley was quite relevant but I thought he was going quite good through the line so back up to Queensland for the Winter."

Rachel King (Arapaho): "Huge run first up for a stayer. Has definitely come back better than ever this preparation."

Jason Collett (Surefire): "He worked home OK looking for further."

Tim Clark (El Bodegon): "I wouldn't say he stepped great and it was probably costly, settling a little bit further back. He'll make improvement off that when he gets out over further."

Brett Prebble (Icebath): "Super. Sit, sprint which doesn't really suit her."

Kerrin McEvoy (Fangirl): "Really good run. She hit the line fantastic. In for a good prep."

Brenton Avdulla (Hinged): "She has come back in really good order. She led at a controlled gallop. Skipped on the bend and she tried hard taking a really good horse to beat her."

Group 2 - TAB Light Fingers Stakes (3yo F SW - 1200m)

1st: In Secret (J Cummings/N Rawiller) - $1.95F
2nd: Sunshine In Paris (A Neasham/R Maloney) - $5
3rd: Cinderella Days (J Pride/S Clipperton) - $31

Winning Time: 1:10.20 Last 600m: 34.31

Margins: Short Head x ½L

Beaten jockey comments:

Brenton Avdulla (Fireburn): "Happy enough. She gave me a lovely ride, did everything right. Thought she presented to run top three and just maybe ran out of a bit of condition late. Probably appreciate a bit of moisture in the track."

Jason Collett (Madame Pommery): "Very good return. Gave them a start and finished it off well."

William Pike (Sheeza Belter): "It was a good hit out for her. She will improve."

Tim Clark (North Star Lass): "She ran well. She stayed on well. May just be looking for the 1400m now."

Kerrin McEvoy (Revolutionary Miss): "Great run first run back. If she just had a bit of room she would have really unleashed. In for a great prep."

James McDonald (Wolverine): "She had a tough run."

Regan Bayliss (A Lot More Love): "Back from the wide barrier. Really happy with the way she went through the line. Will be better suited to seven furlongs. Has come back in good order."

Chad Schofield (Razeta): "She ran really well. Took a while to hit top gear but once she found it she really hit the line strongly."

Ryan Maloney (Sunshine In Paris): "Huge run. Obviously stepping up in grade as we all knew. She acquitted herself very well. Heads to the Surround 1400m which will be right up her alley."

Sam Clipperton (Cinderella Days): "Might effort. Had the race won until probably the last 50m. She was beaten by a very good filly in In Secret. I think my filly has returned in very good order."

Tom Sherry (Byron Belle): "That grade it was probably all too sharp for her. If we drop her back in class she will be OK."

Restricted Listed - Inglis Millennium (2yo SW - 1100m)

1st: Learning To Fly (A Neasham/C Schofield) - $4F
2nd: Blanc De Blanc (M Freedman/J McDonald) - $7
3rd: Kundalini (C Maher & D Eustace/J Collett) - $5

Winning Time: 1:04.27 Last 600m: 34.96

Margins: Short Head x ¾L

Beaten jockey comments:

Rachel King (Arkansaw Kid): "Lovely horse going forward. Very nearly pulled down in that fall. One for the future."

Brett Prebble (Mexico): "He's a difficult colt. Did a hell of a lot wrong and beaten only three lengths."

Tim Clark (Coincide): "He's just doing things a bit upside. Just in a bit of a rush. Obviously got put out of business halfway up the straight but was a beaten horse at the time."

Josh Parr (Hellish): "He's a nice horse."

Jett Stanley (Celui): "There's a good race in him. Blinkers on hopefully to switch him on and make him concentrate. Hope he'll come back and be a really good horse."

Brock Ryan (The Player): "Went OK. Got run off his legs a bit. Will be a horse when he gets to mature a bit more."

Kerrin McEvoy (Saltaire): "Really good run by her. Gave a nice little kick."

Brenton Avdulla (Facile): "She ran really well. Probably drew the wrong side of the track. Had to work through the worst part of the ground up the inside. Tried hard and not beaten far."

William Pike (Lazzago): "Very nice effort. Just a little bit cluttered in the run to the line. There is a little bit more there when she gets more clear running."

James McDonald (Blanc De Blanc): No comment

Regan Bayliss (Perfect Proposal): No comment

Jason Collett (Kundalini): "Stuck on well. Just that tempo brought the backmarkers into it."

Tom Marquand (Dorothy Gail): "

Sam Clipperton (Imminance): "She has run a terrific race. Obviously back in the ruck stuck in traffic. Hit the line really well."

Nash Rawiller (Ganbare): "Lovely promising horse. He will be better when he gets to seven furlongs. Just jumped a bit awkward today so we rode him quiet. Attacked the line well."

Group 3 - Davali Thoroughbreds Southern Cross Stakes (3yo+ Quality - 1200m)

1st: Quantico (J O'Shea/K McEvoy) - $8
2nd: Titanium Power (J Pride/T Clark) - $4.60
3rd: Gravina (J Cummings/J McDonald) - $4.60

Winning Time: 1:09.57 Last 600m: 34.58

Margins: Short Head x ½ Neck

Beaten jockey comments:

Rachel King (Hard Empire): "Massive run. Just probably a bad gate beat us today. He's in super form."

Jason Collett (Mr Mozart): "Start was very costly and then just buffeted in the straight. Again very costly."

James McDonald (Gravina): "Good solid run. He's in for a good prep."

Brock Ryan (Stampe): "He went good. Just a bit sharp for him at the 1200m."

Tim Clark (Titanium Power): "He was really brave. Thought he toughed it out really well."

Regan Bayliss (Ranch Hand): No comment

William Pike (Espiona): "She has run well. Wasn't beaten very far."

Tyler Schiller (Testator Silens): "He was a super run. Thought he was strong through the line. He will be very hard to beat in the Championship qualifier."
