Last year's Ladbrokes Launceston Cup winner Aurora's Symphony will be back to try and replicate the win with his trainer Symon Wilde conforming the gelding would be making the trip and that Blaike McDougall will take the ride.

Aurora's Symphony will head to the Launceston Cup on the back of a brilliant first-up win in the Colac Cup, the same race he won last year before blitzing his rivals in the Launceston Cup.

Last Sunday's Hobart Cup winner, Military Mission, remained in the state to tackle the Launceston Cup next Wednesday and if successful he will take out the Ladbrokes $100,000 Cups Double Bonus which will be shared equally between owners and trainer.

There are 18 nominated for the Group 3 Ladbrokes Launceston Cup over 2400m and they include Hobart Cup placegetters Travelling Gigolo (second) from the Scott Brunton stable and Spirit Ridge from the Annabel Neasham stable in Sydney that finished a game third.

Neasham confirmed on Wednesday that the horse was being stabled with Barry Campbell at Spreyton and that Blake Shinn had accepted the ride.

Final acceptances for next Wednesday's meeting is on Friday at 9:00 with the Launceston Cup barrier draw to take place at Sporties Hotel in Charles Street starting at 18:00, with a fashion parade also scheduled to follow the barrier draw.
