Sandown or Kyneton are options on the table for Jerome Hunter-trained galloper.
Jerome Hunter is in a quandary where to head with last start maiden winner Our Warrior.
The three-year-old is an acceptor in the Evergreen Turf Handicap (1400m) at Sandown on Wednesday along with the Organs Coaches Handicap (1450m) at Kyneton the following day.
Hunter said he would leave his decision on where the last start Kilmore maiden winner will head until the Sandown scratching deadline on Wednesday.
In the back of Hunter's mind is the feedback from the jockeys that have ridden Our Warrior that he would like a bigger track.
"For that reason, Sandown is a good option but there are some smart horses engaged," Hunter said.
"On the other hand, Kyneton may be a little easier, but then he is racing on a tighter, turning track.
"I'll keep a watch on the scratchings on Wednesday morning and make up my mind."
Hunter said Our Warrior had progressed well from his Kilmore victory on victory on February 7 with the runner-up Monomakh again running second at Kilmore last Friday.
"I think he will keep on developing and he may be even better next time in," Hunter said.
Hunter also has Magarten engaged in the Tile Importer Handicap (1300m) on Wednesday.
Magarten had two starts in maiden company last spring and acquitted himself well and has had two trials, one at Cranbourne and another at Mornington to prepare for Wednesday.
Craig Williams was aboard in both and takes the ride on Wednesday.
Hunter said Magarten was not gelded until late in his two-year-old year and was cantankerous and colty in his spring campaign and the trainer elected to spell the now three-year-old.
"He has come back well and has trialled up nicely and after his last one at Mornington, Craig said he was ready to run 1300 metres at Sandown."
