The TABtouch market says Saturday’s Supremacy Stakes (1000m) at Ascot is a race in two with Live To Tell ($1.95) and stable mate Prospector’s Pick ($3.90) dominating betting.
Live To Tell and Prospector's Pick are prepared by top juvenile trainer, Simon Miller, who will be keen to protect his remarkable record in the $125,000 Listed event.
Miller has won the Supremacy Stakes seven times, commencing with Single Spice (2011) and then Miss Solis (2012), Whispering Brook (2016), Seannie (2017), Lady Cosmology (2018), Liwa (2021) and Amelia's Jewel (2022).
Miller has a high opinion of both his two-year-old babies, but says race experience is a telling factor and for that reason he believes it tips the scales in favour of Live To Tell.
Live To Tell ran second to Brave Halo on debut last October while Prospector's Pick lines up for the first time in the Supremacy Stakes after a couple of impressive trial wins.
Live To Tell's defeat as raging favourite last year when she stepped out for her first outing left Miller shattered, but it was later revealed she pulled up shin sore.
The Territories filly, currently favourite for next month's Karrakatta Plate (1200m), showed she was back on track for her return with a sizzling nine length trial win.
"She is a high class filly and if she didn't pully up shinny she beats Brave Halo the first run and he went on and ran a couple and you saw what he did over east," Miller told Tabradio.
"So the form has been franked.
"She's a beauty and not fully wound up for Saturday, but forward enough to win."
Live To Tell has drawn the widest gate in the Supremacy Stakes (13) and will be ridden by Pat Carbery.
"I don't mind that gate," Miller said.
"You can stay out of trouble from the slow ones who will get in everyone's way.
"I don't know where we will end up and I won't tie down Patty (Carbery) with any instructions.
"She'll be strong late no matter where she is in running."
Prospector's Pick has looked smart in winning both her trials.
The Snippetson gelding jumps from barrier two for Holly Watson.
"If I could have split them up I would, but he needs a 1000m at his first go," Miller said.
"He'll need it to sharpen up his skill set.
"He's a work in progress, but gee he's a beauty.
"I'm going with Live To Tell, purely on that it's raced.
"I think race over unraced is always a massive advantage.
"And also throw into the mix she (Live To Tell) has a huge tank.
"She's beating up on my three-year-olds, so I've had to switch her over to open class horses in track work which is always a good sign."
