Winning Trainer: Lindsey Smith (part-owner Adam Sangster speaking)
On te win: "She did a really good job today and Lindsey was always happy to bring her here around The Valley.
"It's a great day here, look at the crowd? I've got to say, we're stoked, all the owners who lease the filly off me, it's a great team."
On future plans: "Hopefully she may get to a South Australian (Australasian) Oaks…she's always showed a bit of class, so much so that my staff actually tried to buy the mare in-foal with her a few years ago and then when they saw the foal they tried to buy her even more.
"We knew we had a good one there. It's good for Toronado, good for my team and good for Lindsey."
Winning Jockey: Dean Yendall
On having to lead: "It was only a Warrnambool maiden, but she's led before and just being mindful around the big circuit, the big show here, to make sure she began well and then go from there with no weight on her back.
"She's a big, free-running thing, the more you can have her relaxed and into her comfort stride, the more she's going to give when you ask her at the end of the race.
"That's what I did, I put the pressure on the leader at about the 500, he tried to ramp it up at the 600 but he was gone a long way out, Blaike (on Ampere), so I put the acid to it early. I was mindful that with no weight, she was going to take a lot of catching."
On tackling the Australasian Oaks: "You're only a three-year-old once. She's got great ability, she's got that good staying stamina as you saw here last season at Flemington in the Oaks, so there's no doubt she can run a nice run in Adelaide."
