The James Cummings-trained galloper could chase three wins in succession in the feature following two impressive wins down the Flemington straight, the latest in the Listed Bob Hoystead Handicap where he was too smart for The Bopper.

Lindsay Smith's In The Boat could make the trip to Adelaide just shy of 12 months since he was scratched as favourite for the Group 1 Goodwood through injury.

Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas' Another Award headlines the local entries.

Anthony and Sam Freedman's Doull headlines nominations for the Listed Redelva Stakes over 1100m for the three-year-olds.

Doull finished fourth behind Giga Kick in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington before running down the track behind In Secret in the Group 1 Coolmore in the spring and resumed against the older horses at Moonee Valley in the Abell Stakes.

Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr have two Redelva nominations while Ayrton headlines the $107,250 Listed City of Adelaide entries.

The stable dominated last year's carnival and look poised to play a strong hand again in 2023. Ayrton who won six of his first eight starts, carries fitness after two runs back from a spell in Melbourne.

The stable have three nominations in the Listed Nitschke Stakes where Peter Moody could back-up impressive last-start Bendigo Guineas winner Waltz On By.
