Gosford mare Miss Fox ($3.50 favourite on TAB), luckless in the home straight when beaten 2.76 lengths at Warwick Farm last start, has her chance to break through at Wyong on Thursday. The six-year-old mare has not won a race since October 27 when successful in a Benchmark 68 at Gosford.

Josh Parr rode the mare in her last win and the jock is on cloud nine after winning the $4 million The Quokka in Perth last Saturday has the mount on Thursday.

Miss Fox has no speed and this preparation she has come from the tail of the field and made up good ground late. Last start the mare was third last on the turn and was then held up a couple of times at Warwick Farm before flashing late.

The longer trip is more suitable on Thursday and she may not be as far back this time. Two starts back at Warwick Farm she was runner up. Adam Duggan trains the mare which is a winner at Wyong.

Brad Widdup's mare Youthfull ($3 fav) will appreciate a drop in class when she contests the Carlton and United Breweries Benchmark 64 Handicap (2100m). She flew home when fourth 1.27 lengths from the winner first-up at Warwick Farm on March 24.

Last start Youthfull was just behind the placegetters at Newcastle nine days ago. Chad Schofield has the mount from barrier one.

RACE 1, PAVILION EVENTS CENTRAL COAST MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1600m: Star Legacy ($4.20) has been placed in his past three starts and he put the writing on the wall last start on this track. That was on April 6 when he raced home for a close second behind Skylight Song. Tyler Schiller has the mount. Venetian Blue ($2.40 fav) was narrowly beaten when a long odds-on favourite at Nowra last start. In November she was a close second at Canterbury. Ocean Honour ($7.50) is fitter and could run well.

RACE 2, CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP, 2100m: Youthfull ($3 fav) is knocking on the door after two runs from a spell. The grey mare was beaten 1.27 lengths first-up at Warwick Farm on March 29 and second-up nine days ago she was a close fourth at Newcastle. The mare has the rails barrier and Chad Schofield. Mirror Queen ($3.50) has a big weight but is ready to win if she runs. Dreamdeel ($3.80) was run down late at Newcastle last week.

RACE 3, DE BORTOLI MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1200m: Choice Legend ($1.80 fav) will be an odds-on favourite but is the bet of the day. She was narrowly beaten by a smart one at Newcastle on debut recently. She has good speed and promising apprentice Jett Stanley has the mount. Agnodice ($6.50) had good form last prep and can improve on the first-up run while Foxford Babe ($13) can run a place.

RACE 4, MAGIC MILLIONS MIDWAY MAIDEN PLATE, 1350m: Yamba's Awards ($3.70) last run at Wyong was an eye-catcher. The filly came from last at the top of the straight to go down by a nose. She has been placed 3 of 5 and Zac Lloyd rides. Supreme Wind ($8.50) lost his last start in the stewards room at Kembla and he will be hard to beat. Gold Something ($6.50) was run down late here last start.

RACE 5, TAB.COM.AU MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1100m: Surrenders ($1.90 fav) is another good ride for Zac Lloyd and the filly has a great chance. She has had three starts for two placings and in her last start before a spell the filly was placed on this track. Surrenders is trialling well. Salaasel ($4.20) will be fitter this time, draws well and Josh Parr has the ride. Chilada ($5) has speed and can run well on debut.

RACE 6, EARLY BIRD MEMBERSHIP $55 PROVINCIAL BM 68 HANDICAP, 1200m: Miss Fox ($3.50 fav) hasn't won since October but this is a lovely race for her. She has no speed and always races near last but can close off quick. She was held up a couple of times last start at Warwick Farm before rushing home. Jacquine Reward ($9) is placed okay in this field and can run well and Princess Amira ($8.50) won well last start.

RACE 7, WYONG'S NEXT COCKTAIL PARTY JULY 15 BOOK NOW F&M BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP, 1350m: The Halo ($4.80 fav) will benefit from the 3kg claim in an open race. She won on this track in January and she has since been placed at Newcastle and Hawkesbury. The mare carried 60½kg when beaten by 0.3 of a length at Kembla last start. Seany's Girl ($14) will love the longer trip and has a chance and Resistable ($5) has been runner-up in both starts this prep.

RACE 8, WYONG'S NEXT RACE MEETING APRIL 27 BENCHMARK 64, 1350m: Skylight Song ($3.90 fav) was impressive winning first-up and can win again with Josh Parr in the saddle. He had good form last prep and he races up front. Buillt ($8) won well first-up and Surfers Royale ($5) has a good record.
