EACH-WAY

TAHNEE TRADITION (Race 4)

RACE 1 - 11:22AM Furphy Handicap (1550 METRES)

LIKELY SUSPECT is a progressive type who was a Warrnambool maiden winner in February and comes off a good effort running 2nd behind James The Great last time. He draws a sticky barrier, but the stable has a good record here. ESTRAPAZ is another who draws a sticky gate but sat on speed when a Kilmore winner last time. He should run well. EAGLELOU has been runner-up at both runs here and was OK when 4th behind Miss Kermie last time. SILENT DON comes off a win at Clare and was scratched from midweek in preference to this. VEE ROD was too good at the mile last time and can measure-up. JENKINS was runner-up here two starts back behind Two Times Twice and gets some weight relief.

SELECTIONS: 4 LIKELY SUSPECT, 3 Estrapaz, 5 Silent Don, 2 Eaglelou
PLAY: Something on LIKELY SUSPECT each-way.

RACE 2 - 11:57AM TAB Goodwood Carnival at Morphettville (April 29 - May 20th) Handicap (1250 METRES)

Found it hard to line these up and went looking for value. Landed on POINT BLAZE has been around the mark in harder class chasing home the likes of Queman, Starlite Valley and Tahnee Tradition her past three. She draws a nice gate and gets some weight relief. TOAST THE DEEL has been racing well finishing 2nd at three of her first five before winning a Gawler maiden as a short priced favourite last time. The wide draw is against, but this is a winnable race. Stablemate CULLEN SKINK was an Oakbank winner on debut and looks to have some upside. KLABEL can run a cheeky race here from the middle gate. His two runs back have been OK, and this looks a suitable race. CHARLESFORT hasn't done a lot wrong since coming to SA and broke through at Clare last time, this is harder, and he draws a sticky gate. SIXFOOTONE has been placed at his past three, the latest behind Prance 'N' Dance at Oakbank. SEPORIA was given a short break after winning a Gawler maiden in November. She has shown ability and draws a nice barrier.

SELECTIONS: 2 POINT BLAZE, 10 Toast The Deel, 3 Klabel, 6 Cullen Sink
PLAY: Something on POINT BLAZE each-way.

RACE 3 - 12:32PM Croser Handicap (1950 METRES)

RIALTOR is flying and was too good in wet conditions winning the Penola Cup last time out. He draws a good gate and will take some running down. AZALY draws a nice gate and has been 2nd at his past two at Albury and then at Sandown behind Golden Crusader which is good form for a race like this. KAILASH was a Moonee Valley winner three starts back and comes off two solid efforts at Sandown chasing home Mr Blackwood and Golden Crusader. SILENT SURRENTE was good here behind Killiako last well. He draws an awkward barrier but looks well placed again. TANAAWOL was good late when 2nd behind Santelmo Fuego at Strathalbyn. DESIGNS is fitter for one run back but might need it a bit further again. ICHIBANSAN didn't look to handle the conditions at Oakbank and faces a wide draw. GRINZINGER ALLEE has been racing well at Port Lincoln and can be strong late, he has very good soft track form. TRUMPSTA was OK behind Killiako last week and should like getting out in trip.

SELECTIONS: 5 RIALTOR, 8 Azaly, 9 Kailash, 11 Silent Surrente
PLAY: Staying with RIALTOR each-way.

RACE 4 - 1:07PM Peter Elberg Funerals Handicap (1550 METRES)

TAHNEE TRADITION was a good winner over 1200m in January and was then solid behind Lafargue and Chicago Storm. She disappointed two starts back before turning that around at Oakbank to win. She draws a good gate, has been in the money at three of four here and has solid each-way claims. RECKONING has been racing well and comes off a Sandown placing behind Saint Bathans. He draws a nice barrier and looks well placed here. Likewise NABOO STAR defeated Rialtor here two runs back and made good ground at Sandown last time. He draws awkward barrier but should be in the finish. Stablemate CONQUEROR has OK Victorian form but draws out. ANGASTON has been racing well and comes off a good effort behind Killiako last week, YURI ROYALE comes out of the same race, and he must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 12 TAHNEE TRADITION, 3 Reckoning, 6 Naboo Star, 11 Angaston
PLAY: Something on TAHNEE TRADITION each-way.

RACE 5 - 1:42PM Grand Syndicates Handicap (Heat 9 Autumn Series) (1400 METRES)

STARTS WITH HELLO was a winner over Rialtor in February and then solid behind Aitch D'Amico on Cup Day. He draws a perfect gate here, strips fitter and gets blinkers on. He's the horse to beat. FALAISE was heavily backed but only battled late at Strathalbyn last time. He's a nice horse and capable of running a big race here. PIIINK BEAUTY was OK behind Fiorada Lad at Oakbank, DAWNBURST is racing in very good form winning two of her past four back in class and she must be respected. LAKE TITICACA was well backed when 5th behind Exalted Dane here last time and must be respected. LEON'S SHOUT is racing well and draws a nice gate.

SELECTIONS: 5 STARTS WITH HELLO, 9 Falaise, 12 Piiink Beauty, 8 Dawnburst
PLAY: Keen on STARTS WITH HELLO.

RACE 6 - 2:22PM H C Nitschke Stakes (1400 METRES)

ROYAL MERCHANT is a nice filly who was 2nd in the G2 Angus Armanasco two runs back before she was narrowly beaten into 3rd behind Holly Lolly at Sandown. She draws the perfect gate and gets her chance to find winning form. MERIDIUS was a Flemington winner two starts back beating Is It Me before running 7th behind Waltz On By in the Bendigo Guineas. He draws a wide gate but looks well placed here. CASTE was OK in the Twilight Glow two starts back before beating Jennilala at Sandown, the winner coming out and winning the Auraria Stakes here last week. MISS GALORE was a soft Ballarat winner on debut before a good run at Sandown. She draws the inside and should be in the finish somewhere. Local BILLIE BRONX was a good winner two starts back before she was well beaten in the Clare Lindop behind As Time Goes By last time. PRAIRIE FLOWER has a good record here in SA and was well ridden to score last week. FIORADA LAD has won his past two, FLORAL OASIS was a good winner first-up in SA but draws the car park, stablemate BOOGNISH looked good winning on debut but faces a steep class rise along with the third of the Clarken/O'Shea runners SIXTEEN REASONS hasn't done a lot wrong but is still a maiden.

SELECTIONS: 6 ROYAL MERCHANT, 1 Meridius, 9 Caste, 12 Miss Galore
PLAY: Backing ROYAL MERCHANT.

RACE 7 - 3:02PM City Of Adelaide Handicap (1400 METRES)

AYRTON is a good horse on his day and has had the two runs back which have only been fair by his lofty standards which includes running 2nd to I Wish I Win in the Testa Rossa last September. He draws a sticky gate but will make his own luck and might simply be too good for these. NONAME LANE will roll forward here and his two runs back from a spell have been solid, the latest running 3rd behind Imperial Lad at Bendigo. MORVADA will run a cheeky race from the inside gate. LORD VLADIVOSTOK shapes as an improver. MY KHALIFA draws out but has been good winning here two starts back before he was narrowly beating at Oakbank. SASKATOON was good in the same race making ground and has won three of four here. Stablemate PUDDING also races very well here, and his fresh record is sound. RICH GINA jumps in grade after making good ground behind Taunting at Oakbank, CHICAGO STORM jumps sharply in grade but won know himself down in weight. REGALO DI GAETANO can run a cheeky race.

SELECTIONS: 1 AYRTON, 3 Noname Lane, 4 Morvada, 5 Lord Vladivostok
PLAY: Something on MORVADA each-way (1/4) from the inside gate.

RACE 8 - 3:39PM Redelva Stakes (To be run on the Main Track) (1100 METRES)

Some big names draw wide here. SEVEN VEILS who won the G2 Riesling last year and comes out of some strong Sydney races. Likewise RENOSU who led when 2nd behind What You Need in the Sunlight Classic at Flemington last time and DOULL who comes out of Abell Stakes at Moonee Valley. I'MLOVINYA defeated Waltz On By in the Talindert and ran 3rd in both the Quezette and Atlantic Jewel early in the spring. She looks hard to beat from a middle gate. Stablemate HELL HOUND resumes and was 5th in the Desirable Stakes in the spring. Local GREY RIVER resumes. She raced well through the spring running 2nd in that Desirable Stakes, and she looked good in a jump-out. LADY DI DI caught the eye in the What You Need race at Flemington and draws well. SWEETENED has a nice record and was a $1.50 favourite winning at Sale last time out. MISS ROSIANO draws a middle gate and was good here running 2nd behind PRESS DOWN last time. HOPE IN HAND draws to get a good run. ZEBELLA has some talent.

SELECTIONS: 5 I'MLOVINYA, 3 Renosu, 8 Grey River, 1 Seven Veils
PLAY: Something on I'MLOVINYA each-way.

RACE 9 - 4:17PM R N Irwin Stakes (To be run on the Main Track) (1100 METRES)

IN THE BOAT was going to run favourite in last year's Goodwood before he was scratched through injury, and he looks ready to peak third-up here. There has been good money to suggest the $6 he went up was overs and he draws to roll forward and take running down. KALLOS has been good winning down the Flemington straight his past couple. He draws out but is trending in the right direction and is going to take some beating again. SERADESS looks on target for the Sangster, her first-up run very good and she'll get a perfect run from the gate here. ANOTHER AWARD hasn't done a lot wrong, stablemate MANHATTEN TIMES resumes but is capable of rolling a field like this on ability. QUEMAN draws the inside and can run a race while GENERAL BEAU ran in last year's Goodwood and has a good fresh record.

SELECTIONS: 2 IN THE BOAT, 1 Kallos, 9 Seradess, 6 Manhatten Times
PLAY: Backing IN THE BOAT.

RACE 10 - 4:55PM Murray and Barb Stewart's 65th Anniversary Memorial Handicap (To be run on the Main Track) (1000 METRES)

Doesn't get much easier here but the McEvoy stable go for the blinkers for the first time on XTRAVAGANT STAR who won the 2022 Millenium at Randwick and strips fitter for once run back when 12th behind Benedetta at Flemington early in March. She draws a middle gate and looks well placed here. SISTINE EXPLORER also carries the Seymour Bloodstock colours and comes of a dominant Ararat win. ENDLESSLY ran very well up in class when 5th behind Taunting in the Hills Railway at Oakbank and gets in OK with the claim. SHOOTING FOR STARS trialled like a jet and was well backed before she led and carved up late at Oakbank at her SA debut. She's worth another chance. HONGBAO will get a nice run from the gate, stablemate MR HAVE A CHAT will roll forward and give a sight. ROXY BLUE is another who will be on speed from a handy barrier. LARKHAM can improve here back in class and THE MAGISTRATE draws the inside and must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 9 XTRAVAGANT STAR, 11 Endlessly, 17 Sistine Explorer, 18 Shooting For Stars
PLAY: Backing XTRAVAGANT STAR each-way.
