Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace (Jack Turnbull speaking)
Pleasing to see him get a victory: "He promised a lot early. We ran him up in Queensland as a two-year-old. His form tapered a little, in good company, which was a touch frustrating.
"It has taken good management from Lucy and the team at Cranbourne. It was a masterful ride, I didn't think he was going to get there. We had one get nailed in Adelaide, but it was good to see him get out and get the win."
Better company: "I think that performance warrants possibly going to Queensland.
"It's fantastic for Vic Husslers to have a horse like that. There's a big group and it would be good for the team to get another one up to Queensland for the carnival."
Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn
Task beyond you on the turn: "Not at all. I had a lovely run in transit. I was following Waltz On By and the wave came early, but I had a longshot outside that was exposed the whole way and I was confident it was going to drop off and give a run to me. It was just a matter of time and when the run came I was only a length or two off the lead and he quickened down nice. He's a talented horse. It was a great win."
His form leading in: "His run wasn't too bad at Bendigo. He's still a colt and we worked him on Tuesday. I took a little bit away from that. He's a bit of a thinker and can be lazy at times, so mindful of that I kept him up on the bridle. He was in a nice stalking position and I had him ready to pull the trigger when the run presented. He was there for me, did everything right and it was a good win."
