Winning Trainer: Maddy Sears

Trapped wide: "I was watching it with Mum, and when he was caught deep I told her it wasn't looking good because it was going to be hard to win from there. But as soon as Ben put down the accelerator, he just said see you later to them. 

Upcoming program: "He'll go to the Fred Best next, then into the Stradbroke and we'll put him away after that, with the Golden Eagle his main target in the spring. 

Winning Trainer: Tony Sears

Thoughts on Maddy: "I'm so proud of her, a lot of the credit goes to her and all the other staff because they do things behind the scenes that I don't. She should be very proud of what she's done with this horse, I've had a little bit of input but she does most of the hard work and I couldn't love her any more."

Winning Jockey: Ben Thompson

Trouble in the run: "This horse just gives you so much confidence. In most of his trials he's sat just off the speed, but from that gate I couldn't get into a comfortable position. With good horses you can ask that bit more of them, but I still didn't want to use up too much gas to find the front. The track has been playing so fair all day so even though we weren't in the best spot, I still felt we were able to control the race from there. That's how it panned out, I knew he was a serious horse before today and he's come back in as good as he went out."   

Stepping up in trip: "He's already a winner over a mile so hopefully it's the start of a big prep."

Decision to stick with the horse (over Fashion Legend): "It was such a line ball call in the Magic Millions Guineas. I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to ride two such quality horses. I was pleased to see him scratched today, after the way he trialled recently. We could meet again this prep, and hopefully we can turn the tables next time."
