Who Dares will make a bid for his second career win when he lines up at Flemington.
Pat Carey would like Who Dares to turn his consistent form into a win at Flemington.
After three consecutive second placings, and five from his nine career starts, Who Dares has only one win to go alongside that record.
Carey is sending Who Dares back to Flemington to contest the ATA Trainers' Trust Handicap (1100m) on Saturday.
At his most recent start, Who Dares finished second to Airman over 1200m at Flemington on May 13.
"He's very consistent," Carey said.
"He's had five seconds from nine starts and has run into some good horses along the way.
"He's been in work for a while, but he's held up well.
"He's a good, strong colt that is well suited to racing down the straight and he's been very competitive in that class before.
"He just needs a little bit of luck to go his way."
Who Dares started his career with a narrow defeat at Cranbourne last August before running second to Australian Guineas placegetter Japanese Emperor at Sandown.
After two more runs early in the spring, Carey sent Who Dares out for a well-earned break.
Resuming with a win in maiden grade at Pakenham, Who Dares finished down the track at Sandown before stringing together three consecutive second placings, two at Sandown and his most recent performance at Flemington.
"He fought on very well at Flemington the other day," Carey said.
"He fought well to hold second that day where the winner is probably a pretty handy horse.
"May be if he can get that second win, it might just give him a bit of confidence.
"With a nice horse like him, you're always aiming to win a nice race in town, especially while that Super VOBIS money is around."
Victory on Saturday carries $82,500 first prize money while there is an extra $30,000 in Super VOBIS bonuses.
