Coming off a last-start Swan Hill Cup win, the Travis Doudle-trained galloper is hoping the wet weather that hit Adelaide on Thursday makes its mark on Melbourne with all his 13 wins coming on rain affected tracks.

"I've been keeping a good eye on the weather,'' Doudle said.

"It started forecasting an 80 per cent chance of rain and now that's gone to 95 per cent.

"It looks like it will hit by Saturday,'' he said.

Doudle said Not Usual Glorious was standing up to his busy travel schedule extremely well.

"He is thriving,'' Doudle said.

"He's done enough travelling so nothing really worries him.

"As I said to the owners, he's getting up in class every time he wins and it's another strong race on Saturday, but he always gives his best,' he said.

And Saturday will be his last run before being freshened for a Melbourne target later in the year.

"I got the call from Racing Victoria that they are putting on a $500,000 race a week after the Melbourne Cup at Caulfield,'' Doudle said.

"They are going to be backdating the points from Country Cups from the past year and he's currently in front.

"Given the prizemoney, a restricted race like that is ideal for him. It probably won't be wet, but you never know what can happen with the weather,'' he said.

Richard and Chanelle Jolly have Wild Imagination and Another Ponzi at Caulfield with Zac Spain booked to ride.

Wild Imagination hasn't finishing outside the first four in his past eight starts, the latest running third behind Tahnee Tradition at Morphettville on the Parks while Another Ponzi won consecutive races at Balaklava before running second behind Turfitt on the Parks last time out.

And interesting runner at Caulfield is former local mare Gaze Grise who makes her debut for Henry Dwyer.

Formerly with David Jolly the mare has been purchased by Adam Sangster and will be ridden by Will Price.
